Smitten Polish Fall 2014 Collection and LE Out of the Darkness

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have Smitten Polish's Fall 2014 Collection to share with you! This collection contains 3 new microglitter jellies and 3 new linear holos and they are all just stunning. I also have swatches of a  limited edition charity polish for the month of September called Out of the Darkness for Suicide Awareness Month that will release along with the Fall 2014 Collection. All of these polishes will release Friday, September 5th at 2:00 PM Central Time. Let's have a look at these pretties!

Sparkling Orchid is an orchid purple jelly with silver microglitter. This is the microglitter sister to the linear holo Radiant Orchid. This purple is much warmer in real life like its holo sister Radiant Orchid *shakes fist at camera*. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. It's such a gorgeous purple!

For Smitten Polish's microglitters, I always use 1 coat of a thicker topcoat and 1 coat of a quick-dry topcoat to smooth them out (so I won't repeat that for all of them in this post). Also, the formulas are all pretty much the same...not too thick, not too thin...which makes for really fabulous application for jelly microglitters like this.

Penny Dreadful is a coppery brown microglitter in a brown jelly base. The warm coppery undertones really make it unique. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. I'm so totally in love with this polish! It is so fantastically sparkly and BROWN (what is it with me and brown lately?).

131 Angstrom is a teal holographic microglitter in a teal jelly base. This one was a beast to capture color-wise...it leans slightly more green in real life. This one was very opaque and I used 2 coats for this mani. It's a lovely dark and moody teal for fall!

Udora's Harvest is a metallic rose pink linear holo. This polish has a wonderful holo flame but has a highly metallic look when in the shade. Formula spread easily and covered easily in 3 thin coats. A very unique and lovely addition to my holo collection.

Antiquing is a metallic pewter linear holo that has some slight golden undertones. Another unique holo! The formula was pretty much identical to Udora's Harvest, and I used 3 thin coats for this mani. I'm loving these new metallic holos that Noelie has incorporated into this collection! Perhaps we will see more in the future? *hopes*

Seasonal Lattes is a rich, warm brown linear holo. SUCH an amazing brown! I used 3 thin coats for this mani. Formula applied like a dream, per usual for Smitten Polish's jelly holos. This is one of my favorites (who would have thought that two browns would win top marks from me?)

This last polish isn't part of the Fall Collection, but is a special release for the month of September. Since September is Suicide Awareness Month, Noelie created this special polish to bring awareness to and support that cause. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will receive $6 from each bottle of this polish that is sold. As of now, this polish will only be available during the month of September and pre-orders will begin at the same time as the Fall Collection release.

Out of the Darkness is a purple jelly filled with fuchsia holo, teal holo, and color-shifting microglitters. This polish has SO MUCH going on and is one of the most difficult polishes I have ever tried to capture. It is truly magical on the nails. It is opaque in 2 coats, but you can do 3 coats for good measure (as I usually do with jellies). I used 2 coats of topcoat to smooth it out. Such an amazing polish for such a wonderful cause!

As I said, the Smitten Polish Fall 2014 Collection is set to be released on 9/5 at 2:00 PM Central for pre-order in Smitten Polish's Big Cartel Shop. Smitten Polish can also be purchased from these international stockists. Be sure to follow Smitten Polish on Facebook and Instagram for updates on restocks and new collections. Thanks for looking everyone!
