Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for most of the week, but I was out of town for a bit at a football game and at the lake (unfortunately, I have the sunburn to prove it). Today I have the KBShimmer Fall 2014 Collection to share with you! I was able to pick 5 from the collection to swatch and then I just couldn't narrow it down, so I purchased the rest of them! That's how awesome they are! There are 3 cremes, 2 holos, 1 glitter topper, and 4 glittery jellies/crellies. These are scheduled to be released on September 15th on KBShimmer's website. Let's get on to some swatches!
How You Dune? is a light greige creme. Formula on this one was top notch! It was the perfect consistency to cause no streaking! I used 2 coats for this mani. I know greige is a popular color, but I just don't have many. I've fallen in love with this one! It just looks so chic!
Stonewashed is a dusty denim blue creme. This one was almost a one-coater, but I used two for good measure. A beautiful color for fall!
Kiss and Spell (over Hugs and Kisses...which looks so washed out in these sunshine pics for some reason) is a Halloween glitter topper with all sorts of matte glitters (all sizes of hexes, shreds, and stars) in orange, green purple, black and yellow. This one works best with a thin first coat and a dabbed second coat to get all of the glitters in place since the larger glitters require a little bit of placement for them to lay flat on the nail (at least with my curved nails they do). I used 2 coats of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to smooth out this glitter. So fun for Halloween!
Jack has a black jelly base filled with orange and black glitters (including micro bar glitters). Jack is a re-release just for Halloween. Formula was great with perfect coverage at 3 thin coats with the perfect density of glitters. This polish screams classic Halloween.
Rust No One is a rusty orange-red linear holo. Formula was fantastic with full coverage at 3 thin coats. This color is just stunning and the holo flame is really nice.
Up and Cunning is a teal linear holographic polish. Formula was similar to Rust No One and I also used 3 thin coats here. Another huge winner for the holographic line of KBShimmers.
Flannel Surfing is a grey tinged blue crelly with orange, aqua, teal, and silver glitters. Formula was great and it built up nicely in 3 thin coats. It had nice spreadability and glitter density as well. This was another one that I smoothed out with 2 coats of topcoat.
A Raisin to Live is a burgundy jelly filled with different sizes of holographic glitters/pigments. This polish built up nicely in 3 thin coats and has wonderful sparkly depth. It is just amazing...one of my favorites from the collection for sure!
