Noelie's April shade was inspired by The Jetsons, the original cartoon space family (and didn't you think we would be living like the Jetsons by now when you were growing up?). It was specifically inspired by the episode "Win a Date with a Jet Screamer", which was Noelie's favorite episode as a kid. Hi everyone! Today I have Lemming Lacquer's offering for February's Polish Pickup for you to check out. The theme for February is "Sugar Rush" so makers were inspired by all kinds of beautiful sweets and treats, and Cassie chose a delicious strawberry confection from a very special trip as inspiration. February's Polish Pickup will start on February 2nd and will run until February 5th.

Here is some more about Cassie's inspiration for the polish:

 Last year I was able to visit my boyfriend in Beaverton, Oregon which is just outside of Portland.  It was the happiest, most at home, and most relaxed I've ever been despite it being my first time visiting.  One sunny and all too warm day we trekked to Pix Patisserie in northeast Portland.  We bought a few different desserts to try once we got back home but the best among an assortment of exceptionally yummy treats was Le Frasier, a dessert made to look like a strawberry. 
 The flavors effortlessly switched from sweet to tart, strawberry to lemon, and back again. The texture of the mousse was by far the smoothest I’ve ever had and so light it defied explanation at how saturated it could be with flavor. I never knew food could taste this good! There were many perfect moments in that trip and Le Frasier was one of them.

Polish Pickup December 2017: Scofflaw Pale Blue Dot

Hi everyone! Tonight I have Scofflaw's offering for December's Polish Pickup! The theme for December is "Holidays Around the World" and Finch chose Earth Day to use as her inspiration. 

This month's Polish Pickup will start on December 1st and will run until December 4th (it's starting a few days early this month to allow for makers to get polishes out by Christmas!). 

For Earth Day, Finch drew inspiration from a quote by Carl Sagan about Earth, when viewed from deep space (approximately 3.7 billion miles away) in a photo taken by a space probe.

Hi everyone! Today I've got Pahlish's new collection and it's a throwback to Pahlish of yesteryear! Pahlish originally released her 12 Days of Christmas Collection back in Winter 2012 and it was (and still is) a highly coveted collection. Hi everyone! Long time, no see! I've gotten to have a little bit of down time this month (a little getaway last week was very welcomed since I haven't been able to take a vacation since LAST DECEMBER!) Anyway, today I have the first installment of Lemming Lacquer's You Are What You Worship Collection. This collection is inspired by the first season of the show American Gods (and this is just Part 1...Part 2 will be released soon!).

Polish Pickup October 2017: Le Polish I'm Sexy and I Gnome It

Hi everyone! Today I have Le Polish's addition to the October 2017 Polish Pickup. The October theme is Monsters and Mythical Creatures, and Le Polish has created a polish inspired by the gnome Shmebulock from the show Gravity Falls (that apparently vomits rainbows...and now I want to watch this show!). The sales dates for this month are October 6th-9th in the Polish Pickup shop. 

I'm Sexy and I Gnome It is a teal jelly filled with red, green, and silver holo glitters of various sizes, blue/purple and red/green color shifting flakes, and large particle red/green color shifting shimmer. Formula was very nice and easy to work with, having a great glitter load a smooth spread. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage and 1 coat of topcoat for a smooth finish. This polish has a ton going on, but man it is gorgeous! The shimmer is absolutely stunning and really sets everything else off. Allison did a fabulous job of combining so many fun elements into one polish and still have the final result remain sophisticated.
