30 Day Challenge, Day 9: Rainbow

Hi everyone! Today's prompt in the 30 Day Challenge was Rainbow. Instead of a traditional rainbow, I was inspired by the rainbows in oil slicks. That, of course, means that multichromes came into play. I actually used the entire Dance Legend Chameleon Collection for this look (minus The Knight). I used plate NC02 from Nailz Craze and randomly dabbed the colors on the plate for each nail. I then stamped the design over black to make the multichrome pop. I loved this design so much!

Mixed Textures With Essie Parka Perfect and OPI It's Frosty Outside

Hi everyone! Today's mani is a tribute to Sammy at The Nailasaurus, who has really done some fabulous things this past year. I love that her nail art is always so chic, clean, and approachable. This isn't a mani that she has done per say, but it was more inspired the way that she uses soft colors and mixed finishes/textures in her nail art. I always find her nail art to be simply elegant, and that is what I was going for here. I used Nailz Craze plate NC03 for the floral design and China Glaze Millennium for the stamping (The base is Essie Parka Perfect). For the textured accent nails, I used OPI It's Frosty Outside.

I've really been enjoying accent nails lately and I think I'm going to be using them more and more in the future. Thanks for looking everyone!

Falling for Nail Art: Sweater Weather

Hi everyone! Today's theme for the Falling for Nail Art Challenge is "Sweater Weather". This mani was so hard for me to do because it is still 80 + degrees F here in South Alabama, so sweater weather isn't even on my radar. But...I guess my nails can look they are ready for it, eh?

For this mani, I started out with a base of a dark teal creme, CND Urban Oasis. Then I used a sponge and lightly sponged on a mixture of Essie School of Hard Rocks and OPI Mermaid Tears to give the nails a mottled look, so it would look more "sweatery". Then I used Nailz Craze plate 03 to do the stamping. This was a hard plate to use because it needed to be lined up just right on every nail for the design to look uniform, and I failed a bit at this (on my middle nail especially). But the design is brilliant for winter. It would probably look nicer on someone with nice long nails, but, I digress...

4th of July Mani Featuring Oopsie Daisies 1776

Better late than never I guess? I have had issues with Photobucket this week so I've been a little behind on posting. But anyway, here is the mani I wore for the 4th.

Base and dot colors are Cult Nails Evil Queen (red), Sinful Gel Shine Wisp (white), and China Glaze First Mate. For the glitter accent nails I used Oopsie Daisies 1776, a lovely red, white, and blue glitter polish in a clear base. I used Nailz Craze plate 02 for the star designs and Bundle Monster plate 20 for the Stripes.

Peacock Feather Stamping with Nailz Craze

Hi everyone! Today I have a mani to show you that I was so proud of! I love it when ideas I have turn out so wonderful on the nail! I recently ordered some stamping plates from Nailz Craze. I ordered all three of her plates and they are wonderful! I started out using the peacock feather design on plate 1 (NC 01). I used a base of Essie No More Film and then dotted several polishes from the China Glaze Bohemian Collection (Want My Bawdy, Unpredictable, No Plain Jane, and Deviantly Daring) on the design on the plate to create a multicolored effect before scraping off of the excess. I adore how this mani turned out!

Here is what the full design looks like. It is very large so it would be great for you girls with longer nails as well. And do you see those designs to the left and right? Those are for making butterfly wing nails! So excited to try those! I will probably do that for my next stamping mani.
