Femme Fatale Lucent Ametrine

Hi everyone! I was very excited to receive some amazing mail from Australia this week and it included several Femme Fatale Polishes. These polishes are complex and gorgeous glitters and I can't wait to wear all of them. I started out with Lucent Ametrine, one of the more recent Femme Fatale releases. This polish is a mixture of deep and light purple glitters as well as a splash of golden glitter. There are holo, metallic, and satin glitters so this polish is so complex! I did one generous dabbed coat over Essie No More Film. I had a terrible break with my middle nail so I have filed all of them down a bit. :/

Here is my entire Aussie haul (excuse my Instagrammed pic!). I'm so lucky to have amazing friends who will help me get my hands on all of the awesome polishes out there! <3

But lucky for everyone...these are stocked at Llarowe and Harlow and Co! I do know that Llarowe is expecting shipments of Femme Fatale polishes in mid-March and that will include new additions to the line, so hopefully Lucent Ametrine will be among those. And of course for those of you in Australia, you can order direct from Femme Fatale's website. Thanks for looking everyone!

Enchanted Polish Hey Jude

Today I have another Enchanted Polish from the Imagine collection (aka the Beatles collection). These polishes are all holographic multichromes that have the added bonus of not having to be layered over black for the multichrome to really come to life. I adore them!

Hey Jude has a multichromatic effect very similar to Ozotic 503 (aka Rainforest). It shifts from bright greentp khaki to purple. The green to khaki shift is apparent all the time but the purple shift occurs more in at certain angles and in the sunlight. And for some reason the khaki shift is a little camera shy, but it is glaringly obvious in real life. The holo effect is very subtle indoors but shows up nicely when in the sun. This is 2 coats of Hey Jude with no undies.

Enchanted Polish is sold at Llarowe as well as their Big Cartel Store. For updates on new collections and restocks visit Enchanted Polish's Facebook page.  Thanks for looking everyone!

Delicate Stamping

So for this mani I decided to go to the opposite extreme of my screaming neons of late. I went with a nude with delicate white stamping. I started off with a base of OPI My Very First Knockwurst. I guess this is actually a nudey pink, but on my skintone it is the perfect nude for me. True nudes looks yellowy and strange on me. I am so pleased that I got this one after initially not being drawn to it. I then stamped with Konad Special White Polish and Bundle Monster plate 221.

Here is OPI My Very First Knockwurst by itself. I adore it! And I'm not typically one to go for nudes but it is essential to have a few that work for you in your collection I think.

I think that is all of my stamping escapades...for now at least. I hope you have enjoyed them! I'm sure there will be more soon! Thanks for looking!

Model's Own Hedonist + Leopard Stamping

More with the neons in January? YES! I guess I am just wishing for sunshine! So for this neon mani I went with Model's Own Hedonist, from the Hed Kandi collection, which is a very hard polish to describe. Is it orange? Is it red? Is it coral? Well...it just depends what light you are in. It is a neon corally red (I think that best describes it) and I think it is absolutely awesome. If you like bright colors...you need this. This is 2 coats of Hedonist. It dries to a semi matte finish, so topcoat is definitely necessary for it to look like these pictures. I think this polish will be divine as a summer pedi.

So to make this mani even more loud, I added black leopard stamping with Bundle Monster plate 221 and Konad Black polish. Then I dotted the leopard spots with Illamasqua Noble. I may have been a bit overzealous with my dots...but oh well. It was fun!

One more stamped look to go (for now, anyway). Hope you are enjoying these! Thanks for looking!

Smitten Polish Aquarius

Today I have a polish that I am completely in LOVE with! Aquarius from Smitten Polish has small purple, aqua, and turquoise metallic glitter in a creamy teal base. I used 3 thin coats for my mani with no undies. I adore the base color and I don't think I have anything super close to layer it over so I opted for no undies. GAH it is so pretty! I'm so sad that this one isn't sold anymore because I think everyone needs it! I think it is my favorite Smitten Polish (so far..).

Smitten Polish is available from creator Noelie's Etsy Shop as well as from Llarowe. As I said...this pretty is not currently available but she has loads of lovely polishes! Follow Noelie's blog for info on new collections and restocks. Thanks for looking everyone!

Contrary Polish Anna Maria + Owl Stamping

I have been lusting after Contrary Polish Anna Maria for several months now. After Christmas, I finally ordered it and Santorini (which I had also been lusting after). These are such gorgeous polishes! The shimmer is to die for!

Anna Maria is from Contrary Polish's The Islands Collection and it has a dusty teal base with a complex golden shimmer (it looks like it has flecks of bronze in there too.) This is two easy coats. It applies like a dream and the shimmer is very visible.

Then I decided to do some cutesy stamping with Illamasqua Milf and Bundle Monster plate 309. This little owls on this plate are adorable!

Contrary Polish is available from Llarowe. These polishes are amazing and if you are a shimmer lover you should really pick up a few of them. Thanks for looking!

Layla Cloudy Violet plus Stamping

I actually wore this polish earlier this week, but I'm posting it for you guys on Friday! I used to always wear holos on Fridays...I don't know why I stopped. I actually have one on right now as I'm typing this, so perhaps since spring and sunshine is coming I will start doing that again.

Layla Cloudy Violet is a true purple holographic polish. A lot of people have asked me how it compares to Misty Blush and they are quite different. Misty Blush is warmer and has more red and brown tones to it while Cloudy Violet is a true violet...it is the purplest purple holo that I own. I used 1 coat of Jessica Retro Revival Aqua Base and 2 coats of Cloudy Violet for this mani. It applied like a dream over the Aqua Base.

Next I used China Glaze Millennium and the Cheeky XL Plate A to stamp. I thought this looked really cool and futuristic.

As you can see, I've been a little stamp crazy lately. There are more to come. Just wait! Thanks for looking everyone!!

Illamasqua Collide with Zebra Print

So have do you ever have the desire to wear polishes/colors that are completely "out of season"? Well lately, I have had a burning desire to wear neons. I decided I didn't care if they are "out of season"...neons in January was happening. I started off with a base of Illamasqua Collide, a gorgeous neon pink cream/jelly. In some lights it looks really bright pink and in others it takes more of a coral tone. Then I stamped it with Konad Black polish and Bundle Monster plate 223 (Zebra Print? Tiger Print? Is there a difference?). I thought it was so fun if perhaps a little teenager-y...but who cares?

Here is Collide all on its own (2 coats). It has a creme-like texture, but it still has a little bit of a jelly quality to it. The formula is fantastic and not streaky or temperamental at all (as some neons can be). The neon quality of it is more apparent in real life.

There is another neon animal print that I did this week that I will post soon! It was fun to do these manis to brighten up my dreary January. Thanks for looking everyone!

Cult Nails Flushed and HARE Polish Medusa Luminosa

For this mani, I was wanting to wear ALL OF THE PURPLE THINGS. I decided to layer two beauties and it was definitely a good call. I started out with Cult Nails Flushed, a gorgeous purple with pink shimmer. It reminds me a bit of my beloved (and sadly discontinued) Claire's Magic, although Flushed is lighter. This is 2 easy coats of Flushed.

Next I layered on 1 coat of HARE Polish Medusa Luminosa. Drool. This polish is from the fall Illuminated Life collection and it is a purple jelly base with complex shimmer and disco glitters. The pretty blue disco glitters just glowed over the Cult.

These polishes are both winners in my book! If you are a purple lover...go get them NOW! Cult Nails polishes are available from their website. HARE Polish is available from creator Nikole's Etsy Store (follow  HARE Polish on Facebook for updates on restocks) and from Llarowe. Thanks for looking everyone!
