Hi everyone! I'm excited to show you the 2016 edition of the Girly Bits Cosmetics What Really Happened in Vegas Collection. This is a sparkling 5-piece collection inspired by the annual trip to Cosmoprof in Vegas. Here is a short explanation of the inspiration behind these polishes from creator Pam:

Each year we attend Cosmoprof North America at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. 2016 brings the 3rd collection in the WRHIV series, which have names that are inspired by memories from the coordinating year’s events in Vegas.

With each of the polishes, I've also included Pam's inspiration for all of the polish names with my . swatches. The WRHIV 2016 Collection (along with the LE What Happens in Vegas, Ends Up on Twitter) are available now in the Girly Bits shop.

Girly Bits Cosmetics August COTM: Dancing in the Moonlight and Sun Dog

Hi everyone! Today I have the brand new Vegas Limited Edition polish for 2016 from Girly Bits Cosmetics to share with you. As you all probably know, Pam creates a new shade every year that is previewed at Cosmoprof NA (where so many polish makers and bloggers are having a blast right now) and then it is released to her fans after the event. So in the past years we've had Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat...and this year it is Twitter! What Happens in Vegas, Ends Up on Twitter will be released to the public on August 15th in the Girly Bits shop and will only be available to purchase until August 22nd (single-pour release), so mark your calendars! The price will be $16.50 CAD.

Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas, Ends Up on Twitter is a dusty denim blue linear holo with a strong pink flash and aqua holo glitter. It looked like it was going to be sheer on the first coat, but it built up to perfect opacity with the second coat. Formula spread smoothly and easily and smoothed out to a glassy finish with one coat of topcoat. The shimmer in this polish is AMAZING and it shifts from pink to gold at certain angles. It's really hard because the very first Vegas LE has always had my heart, but I think this may have edged it out as my new favorite! Be sure that you snag it when it is released because it will only be available for a limited time!

Hi everyone! I've been super slacking with posts this week because I've had a ton going on, so I thought I would give you guys a double dose of cremes today, this time some neons! I've got a selection of polishes from the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection to share with you and these polishes were inspired by Pam's new hobby...hula hooping! I've seen so many people doing cool tricks with hula hoops on Instagram and it REALLY makes me wish I was more coordinated (I'm a total klutz, unfortunately). I picked out 5 of the neon cremes and the super versatile black and white glitter topper from the collection to try out. I really love neons with great formulas so I was very excited for these! I also hope that I can do some fun nail art with them soon. Let's get on to swatches!

Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Facebook

Hi everyone! Today I have a polish that I've had on my "to wear" list for ages. Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Facebook was created as an exclusive for Cosmoprof 2013 and Pam sold it in her shop as a limited edition. She re-released a newer version of it briefly in 2014 along with her 2014 Cosmoprof exclusive and I finally snagged it then, so I have the 2014 version that I'm showing you today.

Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas...Ends Up on Facebook is a muted plummy purple scattered holo that has accents of blue/purple and red/green color shifting glitters. When it's in direct sun, the color looks deeper and richer and the sparkles aren't as noticable, but when you are in lower light, the color looks a bit more muted and the glitters sparkle like crazy! Formula was excellent and it was perfect at 2 coats. Even though this is purple, the muted nature of it made it feel like a super cool palette cleanser for me. I didn't want to take it off! Unfortunately, as I mentioned, this was a limited edition polish so it is no longer available in the Girly Bits shop. If you happen upon someone selling one though, I highly recommend it!

Girly Bits No Such Thing as a Purple Problem

Hi everyone! Today I have Girly Bits No Such Thing as a Purple Problem to share with you! This was released at the same time as the 80's Girl Bands collection and it is a purple jelly filled with silver and purple microglitters. There is also some difficult to capture shimmer going on in the polish as well and I think this aids in its opacity. Unlike a lot of jellies with microglitters, this one was completely opaque in 2 coats and it applied wonderfully. I found this SO HARD to take pictures of! The sparkle just overwhelmed my camera. I can usually get pretty decent shots of microglitters, but this one just was being difficult. It's so nice though...perfect for those of you WITH a purple problem.

What Really Happened In Vegas Collection of 4 (Individual shade descriptions below.)

What Really Happened in Vegas is a collection of 4 polishes inspired by memorable things that happened while we were in Vegas this year for the Cosmoprof North America trade show. We had the pleasure of meeting many amazing bloggers and brands, and had the best time laughing, chatting about the ‘biz’ and forming amazing friendships. Of course when you gather a group of women, and add a glass or two of wine… well let’s just say there was a lot of silliness, some of which inspired the names for these 4 polishes.

Too Hot For Pants

Too Hot For Pants is a glowy fuchsia-red jelly, loaded with red and fuchsia shimmer and holo micro glitter. Lit from within! Just like us while in Vegas.

I am Canadian. I am used to hot, humid, sticky summer weather. Vegas is a dry heat. But it is still HEAT. And it was definitely too hot for pants. Thank goodness for maxi dresses!

Selfie Bomb

Selfie Bomb is a sparkly gold holo micro glitter shimmer combination accented with pink and lavender microglitter.

Selfie Bomb was inspired by a moment at the Sparkle & Wine event, when Linda from Nail Vinyls was attempting to take a picture of me and Missi from Different Dimension using her phone. Missi and I put on our best glam faces for Linda, as she raised her phone for the perfect shot. What she didn’t realise, is that she had flipped the camera app to take a selfie and basically selfie bombed our picture.

Protect Your Girly Bits

Protect Your Girly Bits is a purple scattered holographic polish, accented with flashes of red micro glitter.

Since we were co-hosting an event at Mandalay Bay, we had a fair amount of polish there with us, and between shopping and receiving samples we somehow end up leaving with more than we came with. I did bring a fair amount of packing materials with me but I ran out, so I had to do some creative packing to be able to ship everything home. I just happened to have some… umm…left over feminine hygiene products with me that I no longer needed, and no room in my suitcase to bring home any way. Thank you Always®, for being the perfect size to wrap around a bottle of polish and protect my Girly Bits!!

Accidental PPV

Accidental Pay Per View is a silver holographic polish, accented with glowy blue shimmer and a subtle turquoise flash.

Three polish makers, who shall remain unnamed to protect the innocent, were sharing a room while in Vegas and one evening among wine and pedicures on tired feet, they were channel surfing for something fun to watch. Somehow, they accidentally clicked on a pay per view channel and next thing you know they had subscribed to watch a movie. Not so bad, except the type of movie they accidentally ordered is not exactly the type of movie you want showing up on your hotel bill. Ooops! XXX

What Happens in Vegas….Ends up on Instagram is a bright raspberry-fuchsia scattered holographic polish, with flashes of glowy purple micro glitter, and bright pink micro glitter. Very flashy and blingy, just like Vegas.

WHIVEUOIG was created exclusively for Sparkle & Wine - a blogger/brand/stockist event co-hosted by Girly Bits and KBShimmer at Mandalay Bay while we were attending Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas this year. It will be available for a limited time ONLY (Aug 21-31)
