ILNP Highline

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! Today I have a recent purchase from ILNP that I just could not resist, ILNP Highline! I have so many duochromes and multichromes that I'm not often drawn to new ones, but this one looked unique to my collection and was simply stunning so I had to purchase! Plus, I do love when ILNP sends those coupons in my e-mail. I think that is a super cool customer appreciation bonus that they are able to provide and they almost always entice me into purchasing. So anyway...on to the polish!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Things That Can Never Be Unleashed: Halloween 2016 Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have a Lollipop Posse Lacquer's Things That Can Never Be Unleashed for Halloween 2016. This sinister quartet of polishes was inspired by one of my recent Netflix binges, Penny Dreadful. If you haven't seen it and you want to see a twist on some classic horror characters, it's definitely worth checking out (though my husband and I are still very sad that it only has 3 seasons). The Things That Can Never Be Unleashed Collection releases today at 5 PM Eastern in the Lollipop Posse Lacquer shop.

*Nothing to Disclose*

Hi everyone! I'm playing catch-up again so I will be posting several times today. For the Animal Print prompt in the 31 Day Challenge, I thought I had a great a super unique idea! Turns out, Emily from Nail Polish Society and I must share the same brain! Anyway, I still love the look so I did it anyway.

Celestial Cosmetics Valyrio Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have the gorgeous Valyrio Collection from Celestial Cosmetics to share with you. These beauties, which are Game of Thrones-inspired, consist of vivid jewel-toned holos and color shifting polishes. This collection was created with my pal Christine from Serenity Nails and she has done some research on the Valyrian language used in the show and each one of these polishes is named with a Valyrian word. Such a cool concept and the entire collection is so well done! These pretties were released a few months back but are all still available on the Celestial Cosmetics website.

Girly Bits Cosmetics What Happens in Vegas Ends Up on Twitter

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have the brand new Vegas Limited Edition polish for 2016 from Girly Bits Cosmetics to share with you. As you all probably know, Pam creates a new shade every year that is previewed at Cosmoprof NA (where so many polish makers and bloggers are having a blast right now) and then it is released to her fans after the event. So in the past years we've had Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat...and this year it is Twitter! What Happens in Vegas, Ends Up on Twitter will be released to the public on August 15th in the Girly Bits shop and will only be available to purchase until August 22nd (single-pour release), so mark your calendars! The price will be $16.50 CAD.

Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas, Ends Up on Twitter is a dusty denim blue linear holo with a strong pink flash and aqua holo glitter. It looked like it was going to be sheer on the first coat, but it built up to perfect opacity with the second coat. Formula spread smoothly and easily and smoothed out to a glassy finish with one coat of topcoat. The shimmer in this polish is AMAZING and it shifts from pink to gold at certain angles. It's really hard because the very first Vegas LE has always had my heart, but I think this may have edged it out as my new favorite! Be sure that you snag it when it is released because it will only be available for a limited time!

Multichrome Mondays: Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal and "Kids"

Hi everyone! Today for Multichrome Mondays, I have what is arguably one of the most popular color shifting families out there to share with you. The parent polish to this set of pretties is Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal, which is one that I have not been able to get my hands on throughout the years (though funnily enough, I think I might have owned it when I was a kid and then thrown it away before I was into nail polish). Fear not though, I have plenty of dupes for this polish that are pretty easy to get your hands on these days.

OPI Green on the Runway

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! Today I have a pretty duochrome polish that I wore ages ago and haven't had a chance to post. OPI Green on the Runway is a duochrome polish that has a strong flash from green to reddish brown. It was part of OPI's Coca Cola Collection that was released later in the summer (I'm pretty sure it is the "Sprite" polish). Formula was nice and it was completely opaque in 3 thin coats (or two regular coats). Like a lot of duochromes, it did show mild brushstrokes, but they weren't too noticeable (and were completely ignored due to the gorgeous color shift!). Overall, a really special polish from OPI and I wish they would do more duochromes! These pics were taken after a bit of wear, so excuse the slight tipwear.

I usually purchase my OPI polishes from Ulta or Sally Beauty Supply. You can probably still find Green on the Runway hanging around from the summer in stores where OPI products are sold, but if not, it should be easy to find on Amazon.

Did you guys pick this one up? Any other favorites from the Coca Cola Collection? I really love Coca Cola Red as well. Thanks for looking everyone!

Darling Diva Polish Fischy! Fischy! Fischy!

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a gorgeous polish that is supporting a great cause. Any of you that know Carrie from Darling Diva Polish know that she has a huge heart for animals. She does a lot of work with the Basset Buddies Rescue of Wisconsin, which aides in rescuing and fostering dogs. This beautiful polish, Fischy! Fischy! Fischy!, was created in memory of Fischer, a beloved Basset Hound that was rescued by Basset Buddies. The polish costs $15 and 100% of the proceeds will go to Basset Buddies Rescue.

Fischy! Fischy! Fischy! is a multichrome holo that has a strong blue/purple shift (with a touch of gold at extreme angles). The colors in the multichrome shift are so gorgeous and saturated in this polish. Formula is fantastic and it only requires 3 thin coats for full coverage (no need for a base color). Here are a million pictures to oogle. It's gorgeous and for a great cause...you can't beat that!

Pretty & Polished September Beauty Box Review

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have something new to me to share with you (and since it is new to me, I will share all of the details about it with you!) Pretty & Polished is offering a monthly Beauty Box that contains 2 full-sized polishes that are exclusive to the box, 1-2 mini polishes (usually they are samples of their currently offered colors), 1 offering from their bath and body line (either full-sized items or samples), and usually a few extras such as nail art or nail care items. In addition to this, you receive a coupon to use on your next order with Pretty & Polished (the amounts on these vary each month, so they are a surprise). I think that is all a pretty sweet deal for $22 shipped in the US (for international customers it is $30 shipped).

For September's Beauty Box, there are two full-sized exclusive polishes, 2 mini polishes (including 1 that is exclusive to the box), a Bubble Bar sample, a P&P emery board, a sampling of cute nail art appliques, and a coupon to use on your next purchase.

Here is a closer look at the non-polish items in the box. First you see some nail art items including a flower stud and some summery fimo slices (I got a frog, a ladybug, and a popsicle). These will all be fun to use in these last days of summer for cute accent nails! Next I got a sample of P&P's Watermelon Bubble Bar, which is essentially bubble bath in a solid form. I must say, I don't usually like watermelon scented things (because they often smell really fake and offensive), but this one had a fresh sweet smell that I really enjoyed, so big kudos to P&P for doing a great watermelon scent. I can't wait to use it in a bath! Lastly there was a handy nail file included that is the perfect size to keep in your purse for emergency situations.

Next we shall look at the polishes!

Hullabaloo is a thermal polish that changes from light blue (warm) to a darker blue (cool). It almost has a periwinkle feel to it in some lights. It has a crelly base with a rainbow of glitters in matte, metallic, and holo. On my hands, it stayed in the "warm" state most of the time, and that is likely because it is hot as hades in south Alabama this time of year. It would change back to the "warm" state pretty rapidly when I dunked my fingers in ice water, so excuse my wet fingers in the "cool" pics. Formula built up nicely and the glitters spread easily and evenly. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. This is such a fun polish and I adore it!

Pretty Little Thing has a white crelly base with an assortment of pastel matte glitters (aqua, pink, purple, grey, and blue). Formula built up nicely with great glitter distribution. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. I love this color combo so much! Something about it makes me think of seashells.

Sinner's Circle (2 coats over Zoya Kelly) is the first mini from the box and it is actually a box exclusive polish too! It has a sheer grey jelly base filled with gold, bronze, and violet iridescent flakes. I thought that this polish would look best layered, so I layered it over Zoya Kelly (a dark grey creme). The flakes really popped and had excellent depth over the dark base color. This polish is perfectly warm and cozy for the upcoming fall!

Isadora is part of Pretty and Polished's Basics line, but I thought it was anything but basic. It has a blurple base (it looks more blue in some lights and more purple in other lights) with a strong green duochrome shift. The green shift was sometimes hard to capture on camera, but it was definitely there in real life. Formula was good and was completely opaque in 3 thin coats (it really would have been ok with 2 if I had been being more careful). This reminds me a lot of an old discontinued (and highly sought after) OPI called Glacier Bay Blues. I think it is a great idea to include a sample from the core line of polishes in the box to try.

Full details about the Beauty Box are available on Pretty and Polished's website (purchase here). They go on sale on the 10th of each month (September's box went on sale on August 10) and are available until the 1st of the next month (or until they sell out, limited numbers are available). If you don't want to worry about them selling out, you can also sign up for a subscription to the box to guarantee that you will receive it before they are all gone (more details are on the website). I think it is a pretty great deal for all of the products that you receive in the box.

To check out other Pretty and Polished products, visit their website or these international locations. You can also follow them on Facebook , Instagram, and Twitter to see updates on new releases!

What do you think of this month's box? I think it has a good variety of colors and finishes that everyone would love. Thanks for looking everyone!

Dance Legend Different View

*Purchased By Me*

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous polish to share with you from Dance Legend's Holodays Collection. Dance Legend Different View has so many things going on! It's a linear holo with added scattered holo bits and it also has a duochrome that shifts from green to purple. Could you really MAKE that any better? The formula is fantastic and does not require a dark base color to make the duochrome pop. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. Needless to say, this is one of my favorite polishes that I have worn in recent memory because it has all of the things I love all wrapped up into one polish. You will stare at your nails A LOT when you wear it.

Dance Legend polishes originate from Russia and you can order direct from their website (shipping took 2 months to get to me in the US from Russia, and I've heard that is about average). They are also available from Llarowe and Color4Nails which both ship to the US and internationally.

Have you jumped on the Dance Legend bandwagon yet? They make some of my favorite polishes, so I'm completely obsessed with them at this point. Thanks for looking everyone!

Enchanted Polish May, June, and July 2014 Mystery Polishes

Hi everyone! I've got Enchanted Polish's latest offering of monthly mystery polishes for you today. Let's jump right in!

Enchanted Polish May 2014 is a reddish-orange linear holo with a strong pink microflake shimmer throughout. This makes the polish take on an overall corally tone. This is my favorite of the three for sure! I love orange and this orange is just gorgeous. The pink shimmer is very apparent in real life and adds more depth and interest to the polish. I used 2 coats for this mani. It has the most jelly-like formula of the 3 polishes and was the most holo.

Enchanted Polish June 2014 is a medium purple holo with a multichrome shift. The multichrome shifts from purple to red and maybe even a touch of orange. It is a more subtle shift than other Enchanted Polish multichromes, but it is definitely there. It has a thicker base, so I wiped a good bit off of my brush and did 2 thin coats.

I had a difficult time capturing the true color of this one. It wanted to pull a deeper purple in pictures (maybe because of the multichrome pigment?). This is the closest to how it looks in most lights (maybe a touch brighter purple than this). It has a metallic quality to it. Sorry it isn't perfect, I tried my hardest to get an accurate picture.

These pictures are more to show you the color shift. As I mentioned, its a bit lighter than this but my camera made the base color pull darker for some reason.

Enchanted Polish July 2014 is a shimmery cherry red linear holo with blue sparks. The blue sparks aren't really visible on the nail, but I can see them in the bottle. This polish, to me, reminds me of a classic shimmery red that has been holofied (think of OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress or OPI An Affair in Red Square). This one was also on the thicker side, so I wiped a good bit off of my brush each time and did 2 thin coats (it was pretty opaque at one coat though. The holo on this one was the most subtle of the bunch, but it still gave a nice glowy effect.

This one taken in the light box really shows the shimmer well so you can see what I mean about it looking like a holo version of a classic red shimmer.

Enchanted Polish is available from their Big Cartel shop as well as from Nail Polish Canada (Canada), Mei Mei's Signatures (Singapore), and Femme Fatale Cosmetics (Australia). These polishes sell out really quickly (which is why I love the pre-order idea), so be sure to check out restock times so you can snatch them up when you can!

Who all took a chance on the mystery polishes this time? What did you think? Thanks for looking!

Elevation Polish SBP Red Sea

*Purchased by me*

Hi everyone! Today I have my very first small batch prototype (SBP) from Elevation Polish to share with you. Creator Lulu has SBPs at most restocks and they consist of a very limited quantity of prototype polishes that are notoriously difficult to snag, so I was very pleased to grab this one before they sold out.

Elevation Polish SBP Red Sea is AMAZING! It is a strong multichrome holo that shifts from red/green/bronze. It is very opaque (almost a one coater) but I used 2 coats for my mani. The formula also spreads very easily and evenly. I could wear this polish all the time and I would be ok with it, I like it that much. It is going to be restocked on the 22 of this month, but you will have to be quick to get it, as there are very limited quantities available.

Elevation Polish is available from creator Lulu's Big Cartel Store. She has a lot of info on restock dates and availability on the Big Cartel site as well as on her blog. Her shop is restocked on the 7th and 22nd each month unless otherwise noted. Elevation Polish is also stocked at Llarowe.

Thanks for looking everyone!
