Polish Pickup June 2018: Video Games

Hi everyone! The theme for June's Polish Pickup is "Video Games" so makers used inspiration including everything from good old fashioned arcade games, old-school video games that many of us played as kids on the very first computers and gaming systems, to current popular games. This month I was lucky to swatch polishes from Dreamland Lacquer, KBShimmer, Lollipop Posse Lacquer, Pahlish, Pretty Jelly, Rogue Lacquer, and Scofflaw for you. June's Polish Pickup will start on June 1st and will run until June 4th.

Hi everyone! Today I have Dreamland Lacquer's offering for April's Polish Pickup for you to check out (her very first time participating!). The theme for April is "Across the Universe: Planets & Galaxies" so makers used intergalactic inspiration for their polishes. Noelie's April shade was inspired by The Jetsons, the original cartoon space family (and didn't you think we would be living like the Jetsons by now when you were growing up?). It was specifically inspired by the episode "Win a Date with a Jet Screamer", which was Noelie's favorite episode as a kid. April's Polish Pickup will start on April 6th and will run until April 9th.

Hi everyone! Today I have Dreamland Lacquer's brand new collection to share with you. Noelie sent me an e-mail with the details about this collection, and when I first opened it...I can't remember the last time I have been so puzzled by a nail polish collection name. Just before I asked Noelie if she was losing it, I clicked on the linked post and everything was explained! The Woleebaph Ronder Wily Collection is a 6-piece collection of gorgeous shades with names taken from a computerized name generator for colors. There are some wild ones...and I'm still campaigning for a part II to this collection to include a Rose Hork polish...

Inspired by the work of the neural networks being run by Janelle Shane, this time, we took care of the sparkles, and only let the robot polish overlords name them. Presenting: “Woleebaph Ronder Wily” - or, in English, “What Your Computer Might Name Your Polish.”

Hi everyone! In continuing with my Game of Thrones-inspired polish posts, next I have my very first Game of Thrones polish purchase...waaay back from 2012. Dreamland Lacquer (though it was Smitten Polish at the time) released the first GoT polishes that I recall, and at the time I had never even seen the show or read the books. They were gorgeous though, so I couldn't help but grab them and they are still beautiful today. Of course these two beauties were long ago discontinued, but I couldn't help but share them in the spirit of GoT!
