Emily de Molly Head Over Heels

Hi everyone! Today I have my only holographic polish from Emily de Molly to share with you. Head Over Heels is a pale purple holographic polish with pink shimmer. There is a pink flash that the polish has as well as some chunkier pink shimmer (which is hard to pick up in pictures). It is really soft and gorgeous! The holographic effect is very nice, requiring no special base or topcoat. The formula was great too, only needing 2 coats for full opacity.

Emily de Molly You Don't Own Me

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous polish from Emily de Molly for you. You Don't Own Me is a mixture of green, blue, aqua, pink, and fuchsia glitter along with several different white glitters. It is such a fun mix and it really came alive over the dark base color (American Apparel Peacock). I used 2 coats of You Don't Own Me over the base. Some of the glitters are holographic, so this mani just sparkled in real life.

Here is a close-up of one nail that is a little blurry, but it shows off the holographic glitters well.

Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces

Hi everyone! I was very fortunate to receive this coveted polish as a gift from my purple shimmer pal Kristy from The Polish Haven recently. She knew I had been lusting after it and having no luck with restocks, so she sent it to me (along with some delicious Aussie noms) as a surprise. Well I must tell you, it really lived up to the hype!

Cosmic Forces is a deep purple jelly with purple and pink glitter (some holo, some metallic) and giant holo circles. For this mani, I used 3 coats over 1 coat over American Apparel African Violet (it really didn't need a base, I just used it for clean lines). I will say, the large circles did require a bit of fishing to get them out, but I didn't mind because I really didn't want a ton of them, just mainly a few for accents. I like large glitter like that, but not heaps of them in one mani. If you want more circles, you can fish more out. Definitely use several coats when you use this polish to add to the delicious depth of it.

Emily de Molly Monet's Garden

Hi everyone! I was so very excited to get some Emily de Molly nail mail this week (from an awesome Aussie) so I have one of her newer polishes, Monet's Garden. As soon as I saw it I had to have it. It did not disappoint. It is a beautiful teal jelly with various shades of green glitter and a smattering of pink glitter (some of the glitters are holo as well). I chose to layer 2 coats over American Apparel Malibu Green.

Emily de Molly Zombie Spotting

Any Walking Dead fans out there? Well I am super stoked that it is FINALLY coming back on tonight after the holiday break. Of course they left us with a cliffhanger back in December so I have been counting down the days until it came back on. In honor of zombie fans everywhere...I had to use a zombie themed polish!!

Emily de Molly Zombie Spotting was from this past year's Halloween and was limited edition. I don't think it was ever sold at Llarowe, but I won a bottle in a Facebook giveaway that Llarowe had back in December. I've been saving it for a special occasion and this seemed like the perfect time to use it. Zombie Spotting has different sizes of orange and black glitter, including some black bars and dot glitter! I do love dot glitter! There is also a sprinkling of chartreuse green holographic glitter. I layered 1 dabbed coat over Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Limestone.

Emily de Molly Majestic Flight

Hi everyone! Today I have another Australian indie polish for you, this time from Emily de Molly. I only have two of this brand (so far) and this is the first one I have tried. Majestic Flight has a teal jelly base with green, blue, orange, and purple larger hex glitters floating around in it as well as finer copper glitter. I used 3 thin coats for my mani. It applied like a dream and the glitter flowed smoothly in the jelly base. As you can see, I didn't get as many pieces of orange glitter on my left hand, but there were a lot on my right hand. That's just the way it works out sometimes with multicolored glitters. And can you believe it...I didn't even use undies for this one!

I must say...I see a lot more Emily de Molly polishes in my future after trying this one. The Emily de Molly Etsy store can be found here, but it only has shipping available within Australia.
