Hi everyone! Today I have a brand new collection to share with your from Pretty & Polished called the Icon Collection: Part I. Chels says that this collection is based on current female music icons. 

From Chels: I chose these women because they are iconic and have made big impacts not only in music but in my life and the lives of others. This is just the first part of our Icon series. There will be several more collections in the future, near and far, to pay tribute to icons of all kinds.

Pretty & Polished Summer 2015: I'm Just Orchiding and On the Beach, Pink in Hand

Hi everyone! Today I have two brand new polishes from Pretty & Polished's Summer 2015 Collection to share with you. This collection launched yesterday and has a nice variety of finishes including a creme, as well as some holos, glitter toppers, thermals, and glittery crellies/jellies. I'm Just Orchiding is a bright purple creme with a slightly squishly finish. Formula was excellent on this with full coverage in 2 easy coats. This dries down to a matte finish, so topcoat is needed to make it shiny. I just ADORE this polish so much. The color is super saturated and almost an electric purple. This will now be one of my go-to bright purple cremes from now on!

On the Beach, Pink in Hand is a squishy pink jelly filled with multiple sizes of white and pale blue matte glitter. This one was really packed with glitter, so I was sure to wipe down one side of the brush before applying each coat to ensure that I didn't get too much with each swipe. I used 2 coats for these swatches plus a thicker topcoat to get it smooth. The color of this polish is very bright and bubble-gummy which I really liked and the glitters shine through the squishy base really well.

Hi everyone! Pretty & Polished is having two releases tomorrow and I have a few from each one to share with you! The first release is their Spring 2015 Collection which will have seven brand new springy shades and I'll be showing you two of these today. The second release is called Humble Beginnings and it is a re-release of six of Pretty & Polished's beloved discontinued shades and I also have three of those to share with you today. I love this collection so much and one of the things that I find the most fun about it is that it really feels like Chels got out her secret potions and pigments in her lab to create this mysterious and magical set of polishes because they all have one or more special properties (color changings, glow-in-the-dark, matte, duochrome flakes). Well let's check them out!
