#TBT: Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! Here's another edition of #TBT. I figured that during March, I would wear some oldie green polishes for you guys! The polish I am featuring today is from over 3 years ago...and I've had it sitting around untried for that long. This polish is from Color Club's Beyond the Mistletoe Collection (Holiday 2011) which was a collection full of microglitter polishes that I acquired via a swap when the set never arrived at my Ross. Remember when you could buy entire collections of Color Club polishes at Ross for about $15? I miss that! Except sometimes I would buy a set just because they were cheap and never use them...

Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe contains light green holo and silver holo microglitter in a clear base. Formula spread easily with good glitter density. This is one coat over Elevation Polish Storm in the Morning Light plus a thicker topcoat (it is a little gritty, but it's easy to smooth out.)  and all but one of them were glitters just like this. I think that they can be worn on their own at 3 coats, but I much prefer layering 1 coat over a base color. This is such a blingy glitter that is very eye catching because of all the holo! So pretty!

Even though this was released so long ago, Beyond the Mistletoe is still available on Color Club's website as well as from other e-tailers . I saw that Llarowe and Live.Love.Polish have it and it is also easily found on eBay and Amazon.

Super Lazy Christmas Mani Featuring Glam Polish

*Nothing to Disclose*

Hi everyone! Today I have my super lazy Christmas manicure to share with you and I figured I should share it before December is officially over. I wanted to do some sort of art but I was dead tired after working all day and then baking for a few hours, so all I did were a few lazy swipes with a striper brush. I started off with two amazing polishes from Glam Polish, Coven (red) and Conjuring (green). I've been planning on wearing these together at Christmas for ages! They are so beautiful and take 2 easy coats for full coverage. Then I used a Color Club white nail art striper to make my random lines. For being ridiculously simple, it also looks really nice I think.

If you haven't tried any of these Glam Polishes, they are all amazing and I want ALL OF THE DIFFERENT COLORS of this particular sort of finish that she makes (and I have quite a few already).

Glam Polish is available from their Big Cartel shop (ships to Australia and the US only) as well as from these international stockists. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new collections and restocks as well as to see lots of beautiful swatches! Thanks for looking everyone!

CYNA 12 Days of Christmas Challenge: Snowmen

*Nothing to Disclose*

Hi everyone! For today's Challenge Your Nail Art prompt, we had to do Snowmen, and I went back to my old faithful stamping. I was going to do a hand painted snowman, but I was inspired by Jessica from Be Happy and Buy Polish to pull out one of my old Color Club glitters from several years ago and this mani somehow evolved from there. I started out with a base of OPI You're Such a Budapest. Next I used a make-up sponge and randomly sponged on Color Club Jingle Jangle and Orly Mirrorball. Finally I stamped over the whole thing with Bundle Monster plates BM-323 (snowflakes) and BM-318 (snowman) using Mundo de Unas White. I really loved everything about this mani! I always love it when Canadian Nail Fanatic does stamping over glitters because they are so pretty shining through, and that is just how this one was. There were flashes of glitter sometimes, then flashes of holo. The colors maybe are a little different for winter (periwinkle?) but it still looks wintry.

Be sure to check out what the other ladies have for Snowman day! Thanks for looking everyone!

Halo Hues Skittles

Hi everyone! I recently started following @scratchureyesout on Instagram and she did a beautiful Color Club Halo Hues skittle mani and it inspired me to pull out my Halo Hues. I used (thumb-pinky) Cosmic Fate, Angel Kiss, Miss Bliss, Over the Moon, and Kismet for this mani. I stamped with Beyond and Bundle Monster plate BM 404 from the new Create Your Own set. These holos are so blindingly awesome!

And here they are on their own. I think all holo lovers need to get these.

Pretty simple mani, but I really enjoyed it! I need to do more skittles in the future. Thanks for looking everyone!

Falling for Nail Art: Jewel Tones

Hi everyone! I do have a mani that fits this category in the Falling for Nail Art Challenge! What better for a "Jewel Tones" mani than a rich garnet red holo with golden accents? Pahlish Blood of the Mountain isn't just a straight holo, but instead has tiny gold and pink flakes scattered throughout. It is a truly stunning polish that is perfect for fall (and is part of Pahlish's Fall Collection). For the nail art, I chose to use Color Club Cosmic Fate and the leaves pattern from Bundle Monster H11. The pattern was subtle in pictures, but very clear in real life.

Just look at Blood of the Mountain on its own. So gorgeous!

As I said, Blood of the Mountain is part of Pahlish's Fall 2013 collection and is available from Pahlish's Big Cartel Shop. Be sure to follow Pahlish on Facebook and on their blog for details about restocks and new polishes.  Pahlish is also available from Llarowe, Overall Beauty, Rainbow Connection, and Edgy Polish. Thanks for looking everyone!

piCture pOlish Lagoon

Hi everyone! I have another gorgeous piCture pOlish to share with you today. I wanted Lagoon from the time it was released, but I kept missing it when it was restocked at Llarowe. I even started trying to reason with myself that I didn't need it, but I was WRONG! It far exceeded my expectations when it arrived. The color is absolutely stunning and I love the addition of the glitters in base that is filled with the famous holo shards that piCture pOlish does so well. Here is 2 easy coats of piCture pOlish Lagoon.

Then I decided to do a little holographic stamping over Lagoon. I used Color Club Angel Kiss and Nailz Craze plate 02. This mani was so pretty in real life...I didn't want to take it off!

piCture pOlish products are available from their website based out of Australia. They do ship internationally and details about their shipping policies are available on their shipping page. piCture pOlish also has international stockists located all over the world. I have personally ordered from Llarowe, Overall Beauty, and Harlow & Co., but a complete list of stockists is located on piCture pOlish's network page. Also, be sure to check out their Everyday Deals section to score awesome deals on polishes!

Purple Shimmer Sunday (Tuesday?): Color Club Gift of Sparkle

Hi everyone! I did actually wear this on Sunday, but I've just been lazy about posting it. I finally got my paws on Color Club Gift of Sparkle last week and I was under the (false) assumption that it was a purple jelly base with glitter and red shimmer. So that's a purple shimmer right? Well...the red shimmer is actually a super fine red glitter. Oh well...it's pretty so that counts? Right? I'm pretty much going to post purples on Sundays and beyond that...maybe it will be a shimmer. ;) This is 2 coats of Gift of Sparkle, no undies. This polish was impossible to photograph in all of its glory. It is amazing!

Thanks for looking everyone! Please check out what Kathy and Kristy are doing this week!

Falling for Nail Art: Cloudy Skies

Hi everyone! Today for the "Falling for Nail Art" challenge the theme was "Cloudy Skies". For fall, I thought that a dark dreary sky would be more appropriate, so I did a subtle gradient using Color Club Shabby Drab and Alessandro Blue Lagoon (received from Birchbox one month). Then I lightly sponged some white (Sinful Colors Gel Tech in Wisp) in random places to look like wispy clouds and then used my dotting tool to create fluffy clouds. I loved the color combo of the dusty purple and blue for the gradient.

Thanks for looking everyone!

Smitten Polish Electric Lime with Color Club Beyond Stamping

Hi everyone! Today I have a fabulous mani for you! I recently purchased Smitten Polish Electric Lime because I thought it was so unique and saturated, and it did not disappoint. It is a gorgeous bright lime green with a stunning holographic effect. It only required two coats for full opacity and the formula was great. In going with the electric theme, I decided to stamp on some lightning bolts using Bundle Monster plate 305 and I stamped with Color Club Beyond. I have stared at my nails all day (especially in the car...eep!). I LOVE this mani!

Here is Electric Lime on its own. Isn't it fantastic! Gah...just love! I'm even one of those people that is hesitant about colors like this on me, but this one just works.

Smitten Polish can be purchased from creator Noelie's Etsy shop as well as from Femme Fatale Cosmetics, Edgy Polish, and Shoppe Eclecticco.  Thanks for looking everyone!
