Jade Falling Star

Hi everyone! Today I have a lovely Jade holographic polish to share with you called Falling Star. If you guys have ever seen my posts about Jade holographics, you know I'm a huge fan and this polish is no exception. Falling Star is a rich blue-leaning teal linear holographic. It has a jelly holo finish and requires no special base and topcoat. The formula is nice and opaque (I used 2 coats for my mani). The holo flame is great too and is consistent with all of my other Jade holos. This is a great polish to use for an effortless mani.

Jade Holographic polishes are a Brazilian brand, but they ship internationally  from Llarowe (US), Ninja Polish (US), and Color4Nails (US). Thanks for looking everyone!

Jade Over the Rainbow

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous polish from Jade called Over the Rainbow. This is from their most recent holographic polish release (from spring or summer of 2013?) and I absolutely adore it! The color is very saturated (probably even more than my pictures show) and the holographic flame is fantastic. I think I would perhaps call the color orchid because it is a good mix of pink and purple (it leans a bit more purple in real life than my pics show). For those of you out there desiring a good orchid color for the "Pantone Color of the Year", this would be a nice one!

I really feel like sometimes the Jade holos are under-appreciated in the nail community, so do not overlook the beauties! In my experience, they all have fantastic formulas and require no special base or topcoat so they are not finicky holos (which is always a plus). Jade Holographic polishes are avialable from Llarowe (US), Ninja Polish (US), and Color4Nails (US). Thanks for looking everyone!

Jade Mirage

Hi everyone! Several months ago Jade added some new polishes to their holographic range and as soon as I saw Mirage I knew it had to be mine. I was finally able to snatch it up at Llarowe at her last restock (actually I think she had another restock this week...but the one before that). It was everything I had hoped it would be. It is a vibrant blue leaning green holo. I just love the color saturation it has. For this mani I used 2 coats of Jade Mirage.

I immediately wondered how it compared to Dance Legend Android. It turns out that the color of Android is much less vibrant (probably even more than these pictures show) and it looks like it has a muted silvery cast when compared to Mirage. Both are still gorgeous, just different. I do believe I prefer the vibrancy of Oasis if I had to pick just one though.

Pointer and Ring: Dance Legend Android
Middle and Pinky: Jade Mirage

Jade holographic polishes are available from Llarowe and Ninja Polish. I really love all of my Jades so I would highly recommend them to holo lovers. Thanks for looking everyone!

Jade Mystic Gold over Black + Stamping

Hi everyone! I received Jade Mystic Gold agessss ago as a gift and at the time I remember seeing a swatch of it over black that took my breath away. I had grand intentions of doing it then, but I totally forgot about it and it crossed my mind again yesterday. I remember a specific Bundle Monster plate (201) that I had used back during Christmas last year that I wanted to stamp over it with and I ADORED the result. So this is 1 coat of Jade Mystic Gold over black stamped with black using Bundle Monster plate 201. I think it looks so regal and elegant!

You can purchase Jade holographic polishes from Llarowe and Ninja Polish. Thanks for looking everyone!

Tiger Stripes

I went to Auburn University's opening football game weekend before last and I had to be festive. I wanted to do some simple tiger stripes with a holo base since I was going to be tailgating all day. I used Jade Uau for the base and the Cheeky XL Wild at Heart plate for the tiger stripes (stamped with American Apparel Passport Blue). I really loved the way it turned out! I'm sure you will see some more tiger football nails from me throughout the season!

Thanks for looking everyone...and Warrrr Eagle!

Some Holos: Jade Hypnose and Glitter Gal Red

Hi everyone! All I have wanted to wear lately is holos and neons, so here are a few holos that I wore this past week.

Jade Hypnose is a medium blue holo. It has a lovely formula that is similar to the OPI Designer series, the Ozotic and Glitter Gal linear holos, and the Hits holos to name a few. The formula is wonderful with no patchiness or dragging and it requires no special base or topcoat. This is 2 coats of Jade Hypnose with black stamping with Cheeky XL Happy Nails plate. I don't know why the one nail looks lighter than the others...it really didn't in real life (very strange).

Next I used Glitter Gal Red for a mani. It is one of those confounded mini bottles (so awkward to hold!!). Formula was very similar to the Jade with no issues whatsoever. This is 2 coats of Glitter Gal Red. I think it is renamed something else now (Not Another Red) but I think it is the same.

Are holos on your radar right now since it's so bright and sunny outside? They certainly have been a go to for me lately. They are effortless and gorgeous. You really can't beat that. Both Glitter Gal and Jade holos are available from Llarowe. Thanks for looking everyone!!

Advent Calendar Challenge Day 4: Silver

For my silver mani, I went with something really simple (and palette cleansing for me): a silver holo. I used 2 coats of Jade Psychodelica over Color Club Worth the Risque (because I was lazy and wanted a quick opaque silver base). And of COURSE I never managed to get any good pictures in the sun so these will have to suffice. And then to my greatest surprise...my husband told me he liked this polish. He never likes ANYTHING much less comments on it. Except maybe a plain red creme.

Jade Psychodelica is thin and could also be used for a holo topcoat for other polishes if anyone is looking for one of those.

I've got to post a few to catch up with the challenge! I've still been keeping up with my manis every day though...just no time to post them! Thanks for looking everyone!

Jade Magia Negra and Jade Vermelho Surreal

Everyone needs some rainbows to light up Black Friday, right? What about black rainbows? Yes, I think those are in order. I had to work today so I did zero shopping, but I thought I would participate with my nails at least so black rainbows it was.

This is two easy coats of Jade Magia Negra. So pretty!! It is an amazing black holo polish. And as with all of the Jades, it does not require and sort of special base coat and isn't chippy.

A week or two ago I wore Jade Vermelho Surreal so I thought I would share that one with you as well while I'm at it. This one is so amazing! I love the shade of red. And I also found out that Jade holos are magical under football stadium lights. I wish I had a picture of how amazing this mani looked that night under the lights!! It was awesome! This is also two easy coats.

I've got some comparisions for you to hopefully help you slay some hard to find lemmings.

From L-R: OPI My Private Jet, Jade Magia Negra, Ozotic 518, Jade Vermelho Surreal

As you can see, the Jades are actually more holo than either the OPI or Ozotic. And I actually love the richer red of the Jade as compared to the Ozotic. So if you are in the market for either of these HTF pretties, I highly recommend the Jades.

Jade holos are available from Llarowe and I am slowly but surely collecting them all. They are must haves for holo lovers in my opinion. Thanks for looking everyone!

31 Day Polish Challenge Day 9: Rainbows

Yet another catch-up post for you guys! So yeah...this challenge day was all about Rainbows. Perhaps I took the easy way out by opting for a holo instead of some spectacular rainbow nail art display...but I think you might like my efforts with this beauty better since as we've seen, nail art is not my forte.

Jade Fascinio Violeta is a stunning purple linear holo that is a close (yet more vibrant) cousin to my one true love, OPI DS Original. As with all of the Jade holos I have tried so far, the formula is stellar and requires no special base or top coat. This is 2 coats all by its lonesome. Just gorgeous!

I must say these are my favorite sort of rainbows. Jades can be purchased online at Llarowe. If you are in the market for some amazing holos...these come with my highest recommendations!

Jade Energy

Today I have for you one of the holographic polishes from the Jade line out of Brazil. These polishes are very similar in formula to the Ozotic, Hits, and OPI Designer Series polishes in terms of application and finish. Like those polishes, they do not require any sort of special base coat and you can use regular topcoat without fear of dulling the holo effect. I have 4 of these so far, but I will be purchasing more!

This polish is called Energy, and it is a teal linear holographic polish. This is 2 coats. It is so gorgeous!!

Sunshine

Indoor Lighting

These polishes are a must have for any holo lover! They are available at Llarowe for purchase. Thanks for looking!
