Hare Polish Name Unavailable: Trademarked

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous Hare Polish to share with you. Name Unavailable: Tradmarked was a recent one-off that Nikole was inspired to make after the premiere of Better Call Saul, which I still haven't watched but am very intrigued by. This polish is currently out of stock in the Hare Polish shop, but hopefully will be restocked soon.

Name Unavailable: Trademarked is a dusty denim blue crelly filled with silver metallic flakes. The formula of this polish is absolutely dreamy. It is perfectly smooth and opaque in 2 easy coats. I love the simplicity of this polish! The shiny silver pairs pops perfectly against the creamy blue base. This is actually the second time I've worn this baby because it is just so chic and easy to wear. This color was Nikole's interpretation of Hamlindigo Blue from Better Call Saul.

Hare Polish is available from Nikole's Etsy Shop as well as from several other e-tailers around the world (complete list found here). Be sure to check out Hare's websiteInstagram, and Facebook for updates on new collections and restock info.

Birthday Streamers featuring KBShimmer Oh Splat!

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! It's my birthday! I decided that I would go full-on cheesy birthday this year for my mani (since I'm just a mere child of 31). I recently (FINALLY) acquired a classic KBShimmer, Oh Splat! As soon as it arrived I knew I would wear it for my birthday because it was perfectly festive for the occasion. For my birthday mani, I started off with 3 coats of Oh Splat! (perfect crelly formula, per KBShimmer's usual standards). Then I used a fine brush and painted on the "streamers" using acrylic paints (inspired by The Nailasaurus' Waterfall Method, just a little more messy). I thought it turned out super cute and it was easy peasy! I never managed to post my birthday mani last year, so I made sure to plan a little better this time around.

Alright, I'm off to eat cake all day...thanks for looking everyone! <3

Smitten Polish St. Patrick's Day Duo

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today have two gorgeous greens from Smitten Polish! Noelie is always making the most fabulous greens (one of my favorite polish colors) and these are no exception. For St. Patrick's Day she has released one linear holo and one shimmery matte (a newer finish that she is doing is completely FAB!). Both of these are available now in Smitten Polish's shop.

Born Pretty Store Vintage Damask Stamping Plate Review

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! I recently received a new stamping plate to review from Born Pretty Store and it's part of their new line which now includes some XL stamping plates. This is actually the second XL plate that I've reviewed (see the first one here) and I adore this one too. This plate is the Vintage Damask BP-L007 stamping plate. The images on this plate are gorgeous! They were large enough for my nails (length and width-wise) and had a good variety of images that could be used for tons of nail art looks. The plates were etched well and the images stamped crisply. There are actually 25 different images on this plate and the only downside is that all of the images aren't full nail images, but the smaller individual designs would look nice in combination with the other stamps to create cute, cohesive skittle manis.

China Glaze Electric Nights Nail Art

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! I showed you the ridiculously bright and gorgeous China Glaze Electric Nights Collection yesterday, and I couldn't resist doing some nail art with them pretty much immediately. For this mani, I started off with a white base (KBShimmer Eyes White Open) and then randomly sponged on these neon cremes from the Electric Nights Collection with pieces of a make-up sponge: Glow With the Flow (pink), Red-y to Rave (red-orange), Home Sweet House Music (orange), Daisy Know My Name? (yellow), Treble Maker (green), DJ Blue My Mind (blue), and PLUR-ple (purple). To finish it off, I stamped over the whole thing using Mundo de Unas Black and Bundle Monster plate BM-604. This was such a fun mani and I really didn't want to take it off. I need to get my mind back into spring-mode because these colors are making me long for summer!

As I said yesterday, China Glaze's Electric Nights should be available in April in stores that carry China Glaze (I get mine from Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply locally). You can also order them online from Head2Toe Beauty now if you want to get them a bit early like I did.

L'Oreal Masked Affair

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! I promise I have some new collection things coming this week, but I took a brief swatching break due to a break in one of my nails. I'm going to commence swatching new things tonight, so I'm hoping to have a new collection preview for you tomorrow!

For now...it's yet another L'Oreal Masked Affair post! About a month or so ago there were a slew of posts about this polish so I held off on mine, but I hope I haven't waited too long! It seemed like, at the time, that L'Oreal didn't have very good distribution of this particular collection, so I hope by now it has made its way to your local shops and you have been able to snag it if you were on the hunt. If you do happen to see it and you are even a little unsure about it, pick it up! It doesn't look like much in the bottle, but on the nail it really packs a punch!

L'Oreal Masked Affair is a grey/lilac tinged silver holo with scattered holo flake pieces. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about the formula, but it applied really well for me (it seems to be hit or miss). This is the sort of holo formula that is quick drying, so I found it best to work quickly and sort of float the polish on over the nail without applying a lot of pressure. Using this method from the start, I didn't have any issues with pulling or dragging. Light touch is key! I used 3 light coats for this mani. When I first heard about it, I thought "another silver holo...yeah...THAT'S what I need", but it isn't your typical silver holo. The slight lilac lean of it and its ability to really pull out the entire spectrum of the rainbow make it really special as well as the addition of the holo flake bits which give it some sparkle.

Green Spam for St. Patrick's Day!

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! I fully intended on having a cute St. Patrick's Day mani for today's post, but didn't feel well yesterday so things didn't go as planned. Instead, I'm going to share some fabulous greens that I've been wearing lately and haven't blogged yet. I really hope I can make the time to do some St. Patrick's nail art before the end of the week. Gah, just looking through to find all of these has reminded me of the RIDICULOUS amount of unblogged manis that I have in the arsenal. One day I will have them all posted!

Glam Polish Elixir is a lime green holo packed with lime holo glitters. Formula was excellent with full coverage in 2 easy coats. I feel like I've said this a million times, but I'll say it again...Glam Polish's Cast a Spell Collection(s) are probably my favorite series of collections EVER and this one is probably one of my favorites so far! I just can't say enough how pretty and sparkly this polish is! This one is actually part of the Cast a Spell Part 2 Collection, which is still available from Glam Polish's shop.

Pahlish Ticker Tape Parade Duo for March 2015

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have Pahlish's gorgeous new duo for March 2015 to share with you. The Ticker Tape Parade duo celebrate's Pahlish's 3rd anniversary, so I would like to wish a huge congrats to them on all of their success! I still remember the very first restock and my Pahlish's are still some of my very favorites in my collection. I think that March is just a fabulous month for Pahlish duos because last March's duo is still my favorite one to date, but I must say this one is now a VERY close second, or maybe even a tie for first? I dunno, I just know it is awesome!

Pretty Serious Museum of Naileontology Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have a new collection from Pretty Serious Cosmetics to share with you! For those of you who do not know, Kaz (aka the fabulous mind behind Pretty Serious) has a true passion for vintage nail polish. She has an extensive collection of older, hard-to-find polishes most polish lovers can only dream of and pine over when she posts gorgeous pictures on her blog Pretty Random. The Museum of Naileontology collection totally embraces both her passion for polish making and vintage polish, and I wanted to share with you the vision for this collection from their press release:
This collection is the brainchild of Kaz Harris, Owner of Pretty Serious and blogger at Pretty Random, a vintage nail blog. Pretty Serious has always been inspired by the brands that shook the nail world back in the 90’s with edgy never before seen shades and in your face marketing campaigns and our brand new Naileontology line is an extension of her obsession with all things discontinued! Kaz has dug deep into her stash of thousands and selected three of her favourite long gone shades to restyle with Pretty Serious flair, and we know you’ll find the results absolutely breathtaking!

Pahlish Quite Ribbiting from April's A Box, Indied

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! My final preview for April's A Box, Indied is Pahlish's contribution, Quite Ribbiting. As I mentioned in my last post, the other contributors to the April Fools' themed box are Hare Polish, CrowsToes, Black Cat Lacquers, and Serum No. 5. I've previewed the CrowsToes polish here and the Hare Polish here already. The boxes usually launch on the 26th of each month, but stay tuned for full details on Llarowe's Facebook Page.

Pahlish Quite Ribbiting is a deep teal holo filled with blue shimmer. Formula spread smoothly and easily with full coverage at 2 coats. This polish is so gorgeous! The blue shimmer really pops against the teal base (much more in real life) and is so pretty! Because it has a lot of shimmer, the holo has a looser linear effect but it is much more sparkly in person. My camera has a tough time with teals and always wants to make them lean more blue. The last picture is a snap from my iPhone and it is the most color accurate of the bunch and you can see that it leans slightly more green than my camera pics are showing.

(Natural light...in the few moments that I could catch the sun before it set so I didn't get the brilliant sun effect I was hoping to)

(shade to highlight the blue shimmery bits)

(Most color accurate picture from iPhone)

A Box, Indied is available from Llarowe for $50 each. Each box contains 5 polishes and/or products that are exclusive to that box and will not be available individually. You can sign up to receive a box each month or you can purchase the boxes individually when they are released. Follow Llarowe's Facebook page for announcements of exact dates and times of releases (the box for the next month is usually released around the end of the previous month.) She will also give previews of the products and makers that will be in the box (there is a rotation of makers that are included, it isn't always the same). Thanks for looking everyone!

Hare Polish Trust No One. Suspect Everyone. for April's A Box, Indied.

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Guess what? I have ANOTHER A Box, Indied polish to share with you today and this one is from Hare Polish. This is another addition to the upcoming April Fools'-themed box for April. At this point, I think I've identified all of the makers involved in the box, so in addition to Hare Polish there will be polishes from CrowsToes, Pahlish, Black Cat Lacquer, and Serum No. 5. I've already previewed the CrowsToes here and I am planning on having a preview of the Pahlish this evening. The boxes are usually launched on the 26th of each month, but stay tuned to Llarowe's Facebook page for full launch details.

Hare Polish Trust No One. Suspect Everyone. is a lime green jelly filled with white and green matte glitters, iridescent orange glitters, and blue iridescent shimmer. Formula on this polish is very nice and it builds up to squishy opacity in 3 coats. You can still see a slight visible nail line at 3 coats in some lights because this polish is very jellyish, but it wasn't the sort that bothered me (but if you really hate VNL, you can always layer it over a coordinating color if desired). I'm so in love with this polish! It's such a fun and funky green and the type of glitters and glitter density are absolutely perfect! The shimmer also adds beautiful depth that really makes this polish amazing. I fell head over heels in love last year with one of Hare's A Box Indied polishes (The Blooming Desert) and I'm having similar feels for this one!

CrowsToes Whoopee Cushion from April's A Box, Indied

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have the CrowsToes entry into April's A Box, Indied to share with you! April's box is April Fool's themed and Lauri picked a trickster classic for her inspiration: the Whoopee Cushion! There will be 4 other contributors to April's box, so keep a lookout on Llarowe's Facebook page for previews of the other polishes (and I *may* have a few more in my possession to share with you as well that I will be previewing very soon).

CrowsToes Whoopee Cushion is a pinky-red that has a strong silvery shimmer that dries to a semi-matte finish. I showed it with and without topcoat for you guys, and I think it looks cool both ways. There are also some tiny red flakes/ glitter which add even more interest. Formula was really nice and it built up to opacity in 3 thin coats. This polish is dead-on Whoopee Cushion red and I really enjoy that you can wear it matte or with topcoat for different looks (though I really enjoy how much the shimmer pops with topcoat).

(No topcoat)

Fun with KBShimmer Nail Vinyls: Connected Lines and Swirls

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have two different nail art looks to share with you that utilized some of KBShimmer's newest nail vinyl additions. Along with their new spring collection and spring decals, KBShimmer released two new sets of everyday nail decals including a set of thick and thin connected line vinyls and swirl vinyls. These are available now for purchase now on KBShimmer's website. I will also be doing some nail art very soon with the spring vinyls, so stay tuned for those!

#TBT: Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! Here's another edition of #TBT. I figured that during March, I would wear some oldie green polishes for you guys! The polish I am featuring today is from over 3 years ago...and I've had it sitting around untried for that long. This polish is from Color Club's Beyond the Mistletoe Collection (Holiday 2011) which was a collection full of microglitter polishes that I acquired via a swap when the set never arrived at my Ross. Remember when you could buy entire collections of Color Club polishes at Ross for about $15? I miss that! Except sometimes I would buy a set just because they were cheap and never use them...

Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe contains light green holo and silver holo microglitter in a clear base. Formula spread easily with good glitter density. This is one coat over Elevation Polish Storm in the Morning Light plus a thicker topcoat (it is a little gritty, but it's easy to smooth out.)  and all but one of them were glitters just like this. I think that they can be worn on their own at 3 coats, but I much prefer layering 1 coat over a base color. This is such a blingy glitter that is very eye catching because of all the holo! So pretty!

Even though this was released so long ago, Beyond the Mistletoe is still available on Color Club's website as well as from other e-tailers . I saw that Llarowe and Live.Love.Polish have it and it is also easily found on eBay and Amazon.

Hare Polish Welcome to Twin Peaks, Part 2 Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have my last bit of Hare Polish spam to share with you! All of these pretties are from Hare Polish's Welcome to Twin Peaks, Part 2 Collection which was released in December. Nikole did a restock earlier this week, so most of these are currently available in her Etsy Shop. Now I know absolutely nothing about Twin Peaks, but I must say Nikole's obsession with it has really got my curiosity piqued, so I might have to check it out since I'm finally caught up on Doctor Who (especially since I heard there was going to be a revival of the show coming out on Showtime at some point). But whether you are a fan or not, you will surely be a fan of these gorgeous polishes!
