Hi everyone! Today I have 4 polishes from Pretty & Polished's Fall 2014 Collection to share with you. This collection totally embodies fall and has a variety of finishes that are sure to please everyone! This collection is set to release on September 15th on the Pretty & Polished website.
Ninjas Hate Crunchy Leaves is a matte glitter topper filled with red, orange, yellow, and peach glitters in a clear base. I used 2 dabbed coats over my base color (OPI Toucan Do It If You Try). The glitters did spread fairly well for a chunky glitter, I just did a little dabbing with my second coat to fill in a few bare spots. I used 1 coat of a thicker topcoat and 1 coat of a quick dry topcoat to smooth it out. This polish represents falling leaves just perfectly.
Take the Long Way Home is a full coverage warm gold polish. On initial inspection, I thought this was a glitter but after applying it, it is actually jam packed with smooth gold foil flakes (just check out that macro!). It looks like you have coated you nails in gold leaf! It builds up easily and I used 3 thin coats for this mani. I've seen some other polishes with this sort of finish before, but this one is a true warm gold unlike any other that I have seen. It's very reflective!
Caramel Apple Pie is a thermal polish that changes from a creamy golden beige (warm) to a warm blush pink (cold). It has a delicious coppery/golden microshimmer throughout that makes this polish a winner whether it is warm or cold. It mostly stayed in the warm state for me (again...it's still in the 90s outside in Alabama), and I'm totally in love with the shimmering beige! It is such an elegant neutral. Formula was great and I used 3 thin coats for this mani. It will be fun to use for fall, because thermals work so much better for me when the weather starts to cool off. I love when you walk outside in the crisp air and they transition to a different color!
There is S'more to Life is an off-white crelly filled with caramel, gold, and brown glitter. Another wonderful crelly glitter from Pretty & Polished! I used 3 thin coats for this mani and it had excellent coverage and glitter spread. This polish is totally cute and does make me think of s'mores!
There are two more polishes in this collection that I do not have, and they are both lovely cremes. I do have some bottle shots to share with you though!
Hoodie Weather is described by Pretty & Polished as "A medium, dusty blue creme with tiny black flecks. Very smooth application and a gorgeous color for any skintone."
Take it From the Taupe is described by Pretty & Polished as "A gorgeous neutral taupe that is perfect for those going for the "Toned Down". It can be worn with anything and is completely work appropriate"
