Gradient All the Nails!

*Nothing to Disclose*

Hi everyone! Today I have another link-up with the ladies from Paint All the Nails! This month's theme is gradients, so I chose to do a gradient stamping design. I originally did a holo gradient which I intended to look sunny and bright, but somehow along the way it ended up looking like candy corn. It's still beautiful, but I think I will save that one for closer to Halloween. ;)

For this mani, I started off with a base of Darling Diva Polish Peekablue, which is AMAZING and you need it (nuff said)! It was so mermaidy, that I was inspired to pull out my trusty MoYou-London Sailor plate 05 and I picked out a pretty scalloped/shell design. For my gradient stamping, I used two polishes from a new to me brand, Hit the Bottle. They make super opaque stamping polishes in an array of stunning colors, and for this design I used Green Around the Gills (green) and Blue-tiful (blue) for my mani. Hit the Bottle is an Australian indie brand, but they are available from US e-tailer, Beautometry. I just love how this one turned out! Sometimes my favorite looks happen by chance.

30 Day Challenge, Day 10: Gradient

Hi everyone! Today's prompt for the 30 Day Challenge was Gradient. I saw a gorgeous mani a few days ago that used pink and yellow (it was this tape mani from Enamel Girl) and I just adored how bright and cheerful the color combo was, so I decided to use those colors for my gradient. I started off with a base of China Glaze Lemon Fizz and then sponged a gradient using Lemon Fizz and KBShimmer Life Rose On. I thought the perfect way to accent this mani would be with these gorgeous pink butterfly stickers (Item BLE1390) that were sent to me for review by Born Pretty Store. I was absolutely in love with this mani and didn't want to take it off to do the next prompt! LOL...and now Dani and I have both done a pink and yellow gradient and we didn't even plan it that way!

There were pink and orange butterflies (as well as plain black ones) included in the package. There was a good variety of decals that you could mix and match and use for several manicures. These applied very easily and weren't prone to bend and get stuck together. So pretty for a spring manicure!

Be sure to check out Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art supply needs (you can use my coupon code JCX31 for 10% off your order).  I've always had great experiences with ordering from them at very reasonable prices. Also, you can't beat free worldwide shipping! You can also follow Born Pretty Store on Facebook and Instagram.

KBShimmer polishes are available from their website as well as from Harlow & Co. (Canada). Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new collections and to see swatches of all of their polishes.

*Water Decals were sent for my honest review, polishes were purchased by me*

31 Day Polish Challenge Day 10: Gradient

Gah...having one computer to share is NOT working for me. I'm going to have to invest in a new laptop soon if my husband is going to run off with this one all the time. So sorry for the lack of posts, but I have several challenge manis to update you with coming up!

My favorite type of gradient is a glitter gradient. They are quite simple to do and make for a really fun (and blingy) mani. I just tear off a piece of a make-up sponge and paint the polish onto the sponge. I start off sponging lightly mid-way down the nail and build up the glitter at the tips. For this mani I used Pop Beauty Gold Glitz for the tips and OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest for the base.

And I hate to steal the show from the gradient, but I am absolutely in LOVE with OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest. It actually pained me to add the glitter to it because it was just perfection on its own. Gorgeous vampy purple with red shimmer. It has so much depth to it. Perfect polish for fall.

Thanks for looking everyone! I am going to try to find a way to update for often for you guys, so bear with me!
