HARE Polish The Teen Queen

Today I have another polish from the Last Queen of France Collection by HARE Polish. I was in the mood for something delicate and clean, so I was inspired by creator Nikole's original swatch layerings and chose to layer The Teen Queen over a soft, delicate pink. I chose one of my old favorites from OPI's Ballet Collection last year, Care to Danse?, which is a soft lavender/pink jelly. The Teen Queen is a mixture of blue and soft pink matte glitters in a clear base with a DIVINE blue shimmer. The shimmer makes this polish something special. This is 1 coat of The Teen Queen over Care to Danse? (3 coats).

Here is a picture of OPI Care to Danse? by itself from about a year ago. It is so perfect for a "my nails but better" look! This was either 3 or 4 coats. They are sheer, but non-streaky so that makes them a breeze to apply. I love OPI's jellies!

HARE Polish is available from Nikole's Etsy Shop as well as from Llarowe. Thanks for looking everyone!

Advent Calendar Challenge Day 16: Christmas Song

So today's mani was supposed to be inspired by a Christmas song. I picked Deck the Halls and I decked out my nails with some holly!

I started off using one of the OPI NYC Ballet Sheers, Don't Touch My Tutu, as the base. This is 3 coats of white jelly goodness. I love the Ballet sheers and highly recommend them to anyone who wants some lovely neutral sheers.

Then I added 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I LOVE this so much. I almost didn't add the holly.

For the holly, I used a dotting tool and China Glaze Ruby pumps for the berries and China Glaze Emerald sparkle for the leaves. I a white and light green striper for the accents. making the leaves was really easy. They were very "free form" and I just sort of dotted out a leaf with the dotting tool and then filled in the middle and then used the light green striper for some subtle veins in the leaves.

Thanks for looking everyone!!

Work Appropriate Nails: Essie Vanity Fairest

I was going through my Photobucket and I realized that I forgot to post some work appropriate nails for you guys! I pretty much NEVER have those, so I thought I would share.

I had to go out of town on a work trip and decided that I should stash my glitters and holos for a few days (as sad as it made me). My very first "my nails but better" polish that I bought a long time ago when I first got into nail polish was Essie Vanity Fairest. I do get the hype and great love for the the OPI Ballet collection (and I do wholeheartedly agree...I LOVE those), but Vanity Fairest has still remained a favorite of mine for a work appropriate mani. This is 3 coats of Vanity Fairest. I love the hint of subtle shimmer it has.

Do you guys have a favorite "my nails but better" polish? I will have to say that Essie Vanity Fairest and OPI Care to Danse? are my top two. Thanks for looking everyone!
