Zoya Ultra PixieDust Collection

*Purchased by Me*

Hi everyone! Today I have a recent release from Zoya, the Ultra PixieDust Collection, which are some new additions to the PixieDust line and are textured polishes that have larger and smaller glitter pieces in them. After seeing blog posts from Zoya bloggers, it seemed that two polishes from this collection weren't drying down to a proper textured finish like they were supposed to. I read that the retail versions of the polishes were working properly, so I went and purchased the set from Ulta. I'm happy to report that the retail versions do, in fact, dry down to a proper textured finish! There must have been some sort of anomaly with the early press samples sent to bloggers, but it appears to be resolved now. So on to the swatches!

Noir is described by Zoya as a "deep vampy plum, textured PixieDust with red Mega Hex Particles." I found the formula extremely easy to work with and I got great coverage with 2 coats. This was one of the one of the press samples that was not drying down well. I will say that it does take it a bit longer to dry down and get the fully textured look (I let this dry for about 45 minutes before I photographed it...but if it's like Arianna, I feel like it would have dried down even more over time) but it does eventually get there. It isn't doesn't really get a sugary matte finish, but it definitely has the texture particles as well as the glitter that pop out and create a lovely textured finish. I love how vampy this one is!

Arianna is described by Zoya as a "blue-toned red wine, textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Particles." Formula was great and had full coverage in 2 coats. This was the other problem child of the press samples, but the version I got dried down to a fully textured finish (though like Noir, did not have a fully matte, sugary look). I actually let this one dry overnight before I took pictures and it looked even less jelly-like than Noir did after 45 minutes. This one reminded made me think of sparkly raspberries!

Oswin is described by Zoya as a "true red, textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Particles." Formula was great just like the other two and it was perfect in 2 coats. This one really dries down to a sugary matte finish and does it quickly (within 10-15 minutes). This is probably my favorite of the collection.
