Indigo Bananas Swatch Spam

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! I've got some fabulous Indigo Bananas polishes to share with you today! I'm always so impressed with how creator Andrea works with different pigments/flakes/glitters and such to really take them to a whole new level in her polishes (and often in ways I've never seen them used). Here I've got a variety of polishes from her recent releases to share with you, so let's get on to pics!

Accretion Disk is a copper/green chrome flakie sprinkled with a few other colors a clear base. This polish is super dense, so it can easily be built up on its own, but I chose to show it over two different base colors here. I did show the other chrome flakie, Galactic Halo, at 3 coats on its own and you will see how completely opaque it is and you can definitely do the same thing with Accretion Disk. The formula on this one is great and like I said, builds up really easily or you can layer 1 coat over a base color. The flakies are completely opaque so you can use them over light or dark bases and they show up perfectly. They also lay very flat on the nail and are removed very easily with nail polish remover (I figured they would be a horror to remove, but nope). Such a stunner! I love all of the colors in this one!

1 coat over Sinful Colors In the Mist (a dark greyish-green)

1 coat over OPI Stranger Tides

Galactic Halo is a pink-purple/copper chrome flakie sprinkled with a few other colors in a clear base. Formula is identical to Accretion Disk with all of the same notes on opacity. As you can see here in the first swatch, 3 coats on its own is very opaque and still smooth and flat on the nail (you could almost get away with 2 coats). I think the little sprinkle of other colors of flakes in both of these adds a lot of interest and gives them a rainbowy quality. They are also both so much better in real life than it pictures because there is just so much awesome going on in them!

3 coats alone

1 coat over OPI Viking in a Vinter Vonderland

Spark of Life has a coppery base with copper holo particles, pink/gold glassfleck shimmer, and silver flakes. Formula on this one was very nice and it built up to opacity easily in 3 thin coats. This polish is insane. At first glance, I thought it was okay in the bottle but man oh man, on the nail it just comes to life! The craziness going on in here doesn't even seem like it would work together, but it's SO GOOD!

Puttin on the Ritz is described as a tarnished silver color because it has a slight golden cast to it. It is completely made up of silver flakes in a clear base and builds up to opacity very easily in 2 coats and has a chromy mirrored look to it (you can see the reflection of my blue camera in my nail in the macro shot). It's so striking on the nail, just beautiful!

I Feel Pretty has a pink base filled with chrome flakes and holo. Formula was slightly thick, but easy to work with and built up nicely in 2 coats. This is such a unique polish because it has that ultra chromy finish while also having a bit of a holo flame. I found it super difficult to capture this well on camera, but it's really pretty!

Bridal Veil is a silver chrome flake holo. Formula was nice and built up easily in 3 thin coats. This polish is just so amazing! It's super reflective and striking on the nail and the holo flame just adds even more awesome. Like I Feel Pretty, this is just a really unique take on a holographic polish and it is very cool.

I also got a yummy cuticle balm sample with my pretties, in a Coconut Banana scent! That is the absolute perfect scent for me! I already love the Grapefruit and Strawberry Mint balms, and this scent is a winner as well. It smells very fresh and delicious without being overwhelming. I know some coconut things can smell like you have been in a tanning salon, but this is a soft coconut scent that is balanced out nicely by the banana. Also, the balm is awesome and moisturizing without being greasy so that makes it pretty much perfect for keeping your cuticles nice throughout the day.

Indigo Bananas polishes and balms are available from their shop as well as from Edgy Polish (Sweden) and Mei Mei's Signatures (Singapore). Be sure to follow Indigo Bananas on their official websiteFacebookInstagramPinterest, and Twitter to see many amazing swatches and keep up-to-date on new collections, restocks, etc. Thanks for looking everyone!
