Hi everyone! I'm excited to share Smitten Polish's Summer 2015 Collection with you today! These polishes are a follow-up to the fantastic Opalescent Elements Collection that was released in late spring, so we have four more gorgeous bright jelly bases with flakies! This collection will be available on July 1 for pre-order, and you will NOT REGRET picking them up! I seriously didn't think it could get any better than the Opalescent Elements, but Noelie really outdid herself with these! I was also excited to be able to take these photos in the full sunshine, because I really think it brought out their brightness!
Jar of Sunshine is a neon orange jelly filled with color shifting flakies. Formula was excellent with full coverage in 3 thin coats (or 2 thicker coats). I have been dreaming of an orange flakie jelly for ages and Noelie has made my dreams come true. I had previously ordered an orange jelly with flakies from the Dance Legend Candy Flakies line, but was sorely disappointed at the extreme sheerness of the base color. You definitely get great coverage with these despite them being jellies, but you still have the ultra squishy factor going on.
Pool Noodle is a cool neon pink jelly filled with color shifting flakies. Formula was again, fantastic on this one with full coverage in 3 thin coats (or 2 thicker coats). I love LOVE the shade of pink here! It's quite different from Ignis Opal from the Opalescent Elements Collection because that Ignis is a much more corally, warm pink while Pool Noodle is a cool-leaning pink. I love them both, but cool neon pinks are definitely one of my favorite neon shades, so I was super excited for this! Fun fact: I accidentally wore this on National Pink Day and didn't even realize I was in theme until halfway through the day. Happy accident!
Lazy River is a bright teal jelly filled with color shifting flakies. Once again, fantastic formula and great squishy coverage in either 3 thin coats or 2 thicker coats. Could there be anything more sublime than the lovely flakies peeking through this aquatic teal base? I think not. I just know this one will be a hit!
Ice Pop Paradise is an electric blurple jelly filled with color shifting flakies. Formula is fantastic just like the rest with full coverage at 3 thin coats or 2 thicker coats. This polish is a trickster (in true blurple fashion) and it looks really purple in some lights and really blue in other lights. It does not, however, bear any resemblance whatsoever to Aqua Opal from the Opalescent Elements Collection (that has been a popular question, and let me assure you that they aren't even close!). There are no words for how gorgeous this polish is. Seriously...just...WOW!
