Pahlish July Trios: Jungle Book Trio and Tropical Trio

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! In addition to the July Duo that I posted about yesterday, Pahlish is releasing two trios tonight (July 5) in a pre-order event! The pre-order window will start at 7 PM CST and lasts for 24hours. The Jungle Book Trio is a set of holos inspired by The Jungle Book and the Tropical Trio is a set of neon jellies filled with flakies and shimmer with a tropical fruit theme. I've seen questions about this in a few places so I wanted to make sure to point out that these are all going to be available individually, not as sets, so you can pick and choose which polishes you want from each trio. Keep in mind that most of these polishes have a neon element to them so they are not camera friendly, but I tried to get them as close as I could. Let's take a closer look!

Jungle Book Trio

The Dawn Patrol is a neon teal holographic with subtle gold shimmer. The formula on this is nice and opaque with full coverage in 2 easy coats. This looks very dark in indoor lights, but comes to life in the sunlight and the neon qualities come out. It's slightly more green toned in real life (my camera made it appear a little more blue) so I would say it is a very nice teal with even a slight turquoise lean when the sun hits it. The holo is prominent, but is the most subtle of the three in this this trio. Don't forget about the golden shimmer either, it's very slight but it adds another layer of depth to this polish. I'm absolutely in love with this polish and I actually put it back on to wear when I got done swatching these. :)

Man's Red Flower is a neon peach holographic with subtle peach shimmer. Formula was very nice to work with and I had full coverage in 2 easy coats. The neon element is really brought out when this one hits the light and it is looks a little less vivid in normal light. This is an absolutely gorgeous shade that is perfect for summer. On a side note, my husband and I have been fighting all week over the name of this polish because he insists that the song says "Man's Red Fire" instead of "Man's Red Flower". I told him that it says both of those things and have even proven him wrong by showing him the lyrics on the internet, but he is proving to be a stubborn crazy person about it. *sigh* The important take-away here is...I am right.

The Word of Bagheera is a deep violet linear holo with bright purple sparks. Formula was excellent with full coverage in 2 easy coats. This is a very blackened purple and it reads black in some lights, but you can tell it's purple when you get in the sunshine. It's such a cool polish and a nice addition to this collection of brights. I was shocked at how much I loved it once I got it on. I mean, look at that crazy holo flame!

Tropical Trio

The formula of all three of these jellies is pretty much identical. They are packed with flakies so they are a little on the thicker side, but I found that they were still very easy to spread and get even coats of. They were all opaque in 3 thin coats, but you could also get away with 2 thicker coats as well. These are all twists on a beloved Bespoke Batch called Sarey's Berry which came out last year after Cosmoprof. I love Sarey's Berry and I think Shannon hit it out of the park with these gorgeous neon jellies. They are all just divine and must-haves in my opinion.

Melon Baller is a neon coral-orange jelly with a mix of silvery white, violet, and blue flakes. This one definitely toes the line of coral and orange and appears more orange in brighter light. This polish is what I would describe as my perfect summer polish, and I do think it will be my next pedi color!

Watermelon Punch is a neon pink jelly with a mix of silvery white, violet, and blue flakes. This is an insane pink that leans toward the cool side of the neon pink spectrum (which is my favorite type of neon pink) and I think that the blue flakes emphasize that. It's insanely bright in person.

Japanese Moon Melon is a neon blue jelly with a mix of silvery white, violet, and blue flakes. Gah, this polish is just perfection! The flakies floating in the pool of bright cobalt blue is just hawt.
