Hi everyone! Today I have 3 new additions to Pretty Serious' The Museum of Naileontology Collection to share with you! As I discussed with the first set of polishes in this collection, these are all inspired by vintage polishes that are long discontinued and I really think that it is SO COOL that Kaz is using her passion for vintage polish to create these amazing polishes! These are available now for purchase in the Pretty Serious Cosmetics shop.
Blood of Knossos has a swampy green base with golden green shimmer throughout. Formula was very easy to work with and I got full coverage in 2 easy coats. This polish dries down to a smooth shimmer finish with no visible brushstrokes (I was scared it might have them, but it doesn't at all). I love LOVE olive-y greens and the shimmer makes this one outstanding! I was SO VERY excited for this one as soon as I saw it and it was (as I figured) my favorite from this release.
Ichi Hanami is a medium pink foil polish. Formula was nice and opaque and I could have gotten away with 1 coat, but I did 2 coats for good measure. I also appreciated that it was very easy to apply and not runny so you didn't have to worry about it flooding your cuticles and dealing with clean-up, which is great for foil polishes because they can be a pain to clean up. In the bottle, you can see that it is shot through with silver foily bits but they create a nice pink metallic look on the nail (no silver bits peek through).
The Crimson Pearl is a deep burgundy crelly with fine purple and blue shimmer. Formula was very easy to work with and I had full coverage in 2 coats. This is one of those polishes where the shimmer really glows from within. It's not a super "in your face" sort of shimmer, but when the light hits it is so rich and lovely. This one will transition perfectly into the fall too!
Pretty Serious's shop. Pretty Serious polishes are also stocked with these other stockists within Australia and internationally. Be sure to follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and their blog for updates and swatches. Also a special thanks to Pretty Serious for their amazing promotional images, I just love how these are made specially for each release! So fun! Thanks for looking everyone!
