Hi everyone! Today I have Hare Polish's newest release, a duo inspired by the feminist punk band Bikini Kill. I've heard of this band but I've never heard their music (I really need to diversify what I listen to...I'm pretty boring) but they sure did inspire some gorgeous Hare creations. As usual, Nikole has come up with some unexpected color combinations that just work so well, and I was very excited about these when I put them on. These have been stocked once already in the Hare Polish shop and are currently sold out, but I expect they will be restocked again soon.
Double Dare Ya is a teal jelly filled with aqua and baby pink satin dots, white squares, white squares, golden iridescent hexes, green/blue ultra chrome flakies, and holographic shimmer. Formula was great to work with with the perfect glitter load. It started off sheer, but built up to a nice, squishy opacity at 3 thin coats. This is a delicious combo and the teal with the sparkly flakies looks absolutely mermaidy. The pops of pastel make this one a little different than your average mermaid polish, and I really love them in there.
Alien She is a slightly dusty cotton candy pink jelly with aqua and lavender satin dots, white squares, golden iridescent hexes, green/blue ultra chrome flakies, and holographic shimmer. Formula was very similar to Double Dare Ya but slightly more sheer due to the lighter color, but it still built up very nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. I really didn't expect to like this one that much, but once I got it on I was in LOVE! It pulls very neutrally pink on my pinker skintone and is very flattering. The shimmers and glitters seemed like an odd combo with the baby pink, but I ended up loving the combo (I'm telling you...Nikole makes weird combos just work!)
Hare Polish is available from Nikole's Etsy Shop as well as from several other e-tailers around the world (complete list found here). Be sure to check out Hare's website, Instagram, and Facebook for updates on new collections and restock info. Thanks for looking everyone!
