Hi everyone! Today I have a Lollipop Posse Lacquer's Things That Can Never Be Unleashed for Halloween 2016. This sinister quartet of polishes was inspired by one of my recent Netflix binges, Penny Dreadful. If you haven't seen it and you want to see a twist on some classic horror characters, it's definitely worth checking out (though my husband and I are still very sad that it only has 3 seasons). The Things That Can Never Be Unleashed Collection releases today at 5 PM Eastern in the Lollipop Posse Lacquer shop.
Life, for All Its Anguish is a bright purple linear holo with holo glitters throughout. Formula was very nice to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This purple is STUNNING and so intense! I mean...holy purple Batman!! This polish was inspired by Mr. Lyle and I think it would please him.
"Life, for all its anguish, is ours, Miss Ives. It belongs to no other."
I Want My Scars to Show is a cherry red linear holo. Formula is very pigmented and opaque and could probably be a one coater if you are careful, but I used 2 coats here. This is pink-leaning red and boy is it a beauty! This polish was inspired by Lily Frankenstein (who was one of the characters I had the most conflicted feelings about on the show...but heck I think I had conflicted feelings about all of the characters with their mix of good/evil).
"I've suffered long and hard to be who I am. I want my scars to show."
Born Fresh to Suffer is a deep plum purple linear holo with a blue flash. Formula had a great formula and was easily opaque in 2 coats. This is such a vampy shade and is perfect for The Creature. Gosh, my feelings about him ranged so much during the series and by the end I felt so much sympathy for him.
"Some people think that's what life is. Born fresh to suffer." -The Creature/John Clare
Threaten Me With Life is a multichrome linear holo with primarily a blue/purple/green shift but has copper at extreme angles. Formula was fantastic to work with and I used 2 coats for full coverage. SUCH a gorgeous polish and to color shift is so flashy on the nails. Oh Victor...he was never my favorite from the beginning but a very tortured soul for sure.
"You seek to threaten me with death? If you seek to threaten me, threaten me with life." -Victor Frankenstein
