PRESS RELEASE: Girly Bits Cosmetics - "80's Girl Bands" Collection and Darkly Dreaming, Save Your Scissors and No Such Thing As A Purple Problem
OPI Panda-monium Pink
I guess that I was just needing a palette cleanser, but for some reason I was craving a sweet, simple, baby pink creme. I have had OPI Panda-monium Pink for ages (it's from the 2010 Hong Kong Collection), and I decided to grab it and give it a try. This cool pink creme seems to have a bit of purple in it, which helps to soften it a bit. The formula was pretty nice, and was opaque in 3 thin coats (probably 2 thicker coats would do). It's not a color I would typically gravitate toward, but it was perfect for the mood I was in.
OPI Panda-monium Pink is discontinued, but it is still easily found at online nail supply shops and at places like eBay and Amazon at retail prices. Thanks for looking everyone!

Chaos and Crocodiles Candy and Unicorns and Orly Hot Tropics
Hi everyone! Today I have a glitter topper from Chaos and Crocodiles to show you that is girly to the extreme. Chaos and Crocodiles Candy and Unicorns for the Princess is a glitter topcoat packed with various purple, pink, and white matte glitters with added iridescent glitters and shimmers in a clear base. There are so many shapes and sizes in here that you can't name them all. I applied 2 dabbed coats over Orly Hot Tropics. I especially loved the addition of the iridscent shimmer and glitter. It definitely isn't an everyday polish for me, but it is great for an occasion when you want something extra girly.
Orly Hot Tropics is truly something special all on its on. It is a purple leaning neon-ish pink with chunky shimmer. It is darker and more purple in real life (neons never photograph correctly). This is 2 easy coats. Such a gorgeous polish. Hot Tropics is from Orly's new Baked Collection, so it is on shelves now wherever they sell Orly (I got mine from Sally Beauty).

Girly Bits Get Weaponized
Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous polish from Girly Bits called Get Weaponized, which was a collaboration polish with Nail Polish Wars last year for her blogiversary. Get Weaponized is a medium teal holographic polish with flecks of purple and magenta glitter throughout. The formula practically applied itself and was completely opaque in 2 coats. The glitter flecks give this polish interest in any light and the holo flame leans more towards to the scattered side to me. This polish just glows in the sun! This is a definite winner and a must have from Girly Bits.
The glittery bits can be a bit camera shy, but I thought this picture showed their sparkle a bit better.
Girly Bits Cosmetics' polishes are available from creator Pam's online shop as well as from e-tailers around the world including: Llarowe (US), Overall Beauty (US), Mei Mei's Signatures (Singapore),Harlow and Co. (Canada), Femme Fatale Cosmetics (Australia), Foxy Fingertips (Denmark), and Maria Gastadeira (Brazil). Be sure to follow Girly Bits on Facebook and Instagram for news about restocks and new collections.

Cult Nails New Day with Water Decals from Born Pretty Store
Hi everyone! Today I have a fun and simple mani for you using water decals. I started off with a base of Cult Nails New Day, a wonderful buttery yellow that I won from Imperfectly Painted's 4th Blog Birthday Celebration. The color and formula of this yellow are both divine. I found it to be perfectly smooth and opaque at 2 coats (perhaps 3 if you are doing really thin coats or aren't being careful with your application) which is fantastic for a pastel yellow. If you are looking for a fantastic yellow creme, look no further.
I thought this lovely yellow was the perfect base for the colorful Born Pretty Store water decals (item Y108) that I picked up a few months ago. Originally, I thought each of the circles were separate decals, but they are joined in sets of two. This was good because they kept a cool configuration on the nail, but somewhat bad for me because I guess my nails are a little wider than most and the decals, which are made to go against the sides of the nail, wouldn't quite span the width of all of my nails. In real life, this wasn't something that you noticed a lot, so I was still very pleased with the mani. If I was going to do it again, I would cut the clear membrane that joined the circles together on a few of them so I could arrange them against the sides of my nails as they should be.
Cult Nails polishes are available from their website as well as from Llarowe, Beautylish, Harlow & Co., and Nail Polish Canada. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new collections.
Be sure to check out Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art supply needs (you can use my coupon code JCX31 for 10% off your order). I've always had great experiences with ordering from them at very reasonable prices. Also, you can't beat free worldwide shipping! You can also follow Born Pretty Store on Facebook and Instagram.

Indigo Bananas Fiery the Angels Fell
*Press Sample*
Hi everyone! I've still be slacking on posting, now due to some sickness in my family, but I'm trying to get back in the groove. I'm going to try to schedule some posts this weekend to get caught up on my backlog of manis!
Today I have a gorgeous polish from Indigo Bananas to share with you that was included with my last order (and I swear she must be able to read my mind, because I almost ordered this one myself). Fiery the Angels Fell is a glass-fleck duochrome that shifts from pinky-coral to orange with even some hints of red and gold at certain angles. There is also a sprinkling of tiny holo glitters throughout that give it a little extra sparkle. I was actually wearing Elevation Polish Aconcagua already, and I decided to layer 2 coats of Fiery the Angels Fell over it to update my mani. The formula was great and the color shift is very vibrant. The name of this polish is perfect because I would definitely describe it as "fiery".
Indigo Bananas polishes are available from their Etsy Shop as well as from Edgy Polish (Sweden) and Mei Mei's Signatures (Singapore). Be sure to follow Indigo Bananas on their official website, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter to see many amazing swatches and keep up-to-date on new collections, restocks, etc.

Elevation Polish Aconcagua
Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous holo from Elevation Polish to share. Elevation Polish Aconcagua is a bright orange jelly-based holographic polish from the Summits Collection Part 1. The formula is great, and only requires 2 coats for full coverage (possibly 3 if you use really thin coats). The color is saturated and wonderful and the holo effect is very nice. I've been wanting an orange holo like this for ages, and this one did not disappoint.
Elevation Polish is available from creator Lulu's Big Cartel Store. She has a lot of info on restock dates and availability on the Big Cartel site as well as on her blog. Her shop is restocked on the 7th and 22nd each month unless otherwise noted. Elevation Polish is also stocked at Llarowe.

Darling Diva Polish I Hate Pink with Stamped Roses
Hi everyone! Today I have the mani I wore a week ago for Mother's Day. I'm SO behind! I have a backlog of manis to post that I will get to over the next few days. I started off with a base of Darling Diva Polish I Hate Pink. I'm going to do some regular swatches of it soon because it is just too gorgeous! It is a medium pink holographic with strong metallic pink flake shimmer. The shimmer is amazing! I thought roses would be good for Mother's Day, so I stamped using Essie Penny Talk and BM-323.

Different Dimension Have a Grape Day with Stamping
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been slacking a bit with posts this week. We are going through a major computer system overhaul at work, so I've been pretty much too exhausted to function when I get home (physically and mentally). Funnily enough, I still do my nails because it sort of zens me out when I'm like that.
Today I have a super gorgeous thermal polish from Different Dimension's Spring Collection called Have a Grape Day. The base goes from purple (cold) to bright blue (warm) and has a fantastic orange/pink shimmer throughout. I read initial reviews of this collection and bloggers mentioned that the formula was sheer and jelly-like, but the formula of my bottle was more creamy and opaque. I'm not sure if there was a formula change since the inital polishes were sent to be reviewed by bloggers or if this is just an anomaly of my bottle, but it was completely opaque in 2 coats. I added a teensy bit of thinner to the polish because I found it a tad thick at first, but then it applied like a dream. This polish wouldn't even have to be a thermal for me to love it because it is so gorgeous cold or warm, but that is just an added bonus. This is my favorite thermal to date in my collection.
After I wore if by itself for a day, I decided to add some stamping. I used Bundle Monster plate BM-205 and Konad White for stamping and then added dots of OPI Toucan Do It If You Try for the flower centers.
Different Dimension polishes are available from their Etsy Shop as well as Llarowe (US), Mei Mei' Signatures (Singapore), and Rainbow Connection (UK). Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see updates on restocks and new collections as well as to see lots of swatches.
