Hi everyone! Tonight I have Scofflaw's Winter 2017 Collection to share with you! These polishes are so much fun and so classic Scofflaw! I've been enjoying the multichrome madness lately, but these pretties were a nice change of pace. I just feel like I don't see as many glitters anymore, and I always appreciate Scofflaw's creative mixes. The Winter 2017 Collection releases tomorrow at 7 PM Central time in the Scofflaw shop.
Love Letter to Princess Leia is an oxblood jelly filled with holographic glitters in black, lavender, and plum with scattered holo microglitter throughout. Formula was easy to spread and had great glitter density. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage and 2 coats of topcoat for a smooth finish. This polish has some purply undertones and it is very glowy from all of the holo glitters. I felt like photos sort of took away from the glow, but it's amazing in real life!
Romy and Michelle is a mint green filled with holo microglitter and strong pink shimmer. Formula was nice and easy to use with full coverage in 3 thin coats. The shimmer in this polish is simply divine and it is a gorgeous combo with the mint.
What Would Buffy Do? is a muted coral creme filled with golden-green shimmer. Formula was very nice to use and spread easily. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This one looks more orange-leaning in some lights and more pink-leaning in other lights. It's a super lovely combo and fun for spring!
That Dolphin is a Jerk is a light grey crelly with glitter and shimmer in copper and aqua. Formula was easy to use and it built up nicely in 3 thin coats. This is a wonderfully subtle polish that is so dainty and flattering on the nail.
Fake Plastic Trees has a cream crelly base filled with brown, copper, and green glitters as well as brown and green shifting shimmer. Formula was great to use and the glitter load was nice and spread easily on the nail. I used 3 thin coats here for full coverage plus 2 coats of topcoat for a smooth finish. This polish is so pretty and it makes me think of St. Patrick's Day.
Alien Mushrooms has a slate grey crelly base filled with coral, peach, grey, and and periwinkle glitters and blue shimmer. Glitter load was heavy in this one, so I made sure to not load up my brush with polish when I applied my coats. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage and 2 coats of topcoat for a smooth finish. This is such a funky polish and totally Scofflaw. It's such a fun mix of glitters and blue shimmer totally sets it off.
Be Constructive With Your Blues is a sky blue crelly filled with sand and aquamarine glitters and a heavy dose of blue shimmer. This was another glitter heavy polish that works best when coats are applied without loading up the brush with polish. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage plus 2 coats of topcoat for a smooth finish. I just adore the golden sand glitters that pop in this polish. So pretty!
Nessie Hunting is a forest green crelly with color shifting shimmer and flakes in blue and purple (and maybe some golden flakes thrown in there?) Formula was great and easy to use and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage (but I could have gotten away with 2). This polish is breathtaking! Nessie would be proud.
Moonage Daydream is a medium grey crelly filled with purple, red, violet, and turquoise glitters and purple and red shimmer. This one has another glitter heavy formula so thin coats work best. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage plus 2 coats of topcoat for a smooth finish. This color palette is so pleasing and I totally dig it. It's all of my favorite colors in one!
