Lollipop Posse Lacquer's Women of Words Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have a brand new collection from Lollipop Posse Lacquer to share with you! The Women of Words Collection is inspired by some great heroines from literature. This 5 piece set of rich jewel toned holos with all sorts of extra flakes and flecks is definitely a winner! The Women of Words Collection launches on February 17th at 7 PM EST in the Lollipop Posse Lacquer shop. There will also be a one time only restock of a shade that is coming back by popular demand: Shiny Blue Water! I missed out on that one the first time around so I definitely need to snag it before it's gone!

Really Almost Beautiful is a deep raspberry linear holo filled with silver holographic micro-flakies. Formula was nice and easy to spread and use and I used 2 easy coats for full coverage. This shade is named for Weetzie Bat from Francesca Lia Block's "Dangerous Angels" series.
"Under the pink Harlequin sunglasses, strawberry lipstick, earrings dangling charms, and sugar-frosted eye shadow, she was really almost beautiful." ~Weetzie Bat, by Francesca Lia Block

Courage, Dear Heart is a gold linear holo filled with gold and bronze micro-flakies. Formula was again, wonderful to use and I used 2 easy coats for full coverage. This shade is named for Lucy Pevensie who first discovered the magical land of Narnia.
"But no one except Lucy knew that as the albatross circled the mast it had whispered to her, 'Courage, dear heart', and the voice, she felt sure, was Aslan's." ~The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C.S. Lewis

Half So Interesting is an emerald green with scattered holo, blue micro-flakies, bronze micro-flakies, and blue-green shifting pigment. Formula spread nicely and easily reached opacity in 2 coats. The gorgeous green was inspired by Anne of Green Gables.
"There's such a lot of different Anne's in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting."  ~Anne of Green Gables, by L.M. Montgomery

I Give You Your Faults is a rich teal linear holo with gold and bronze micro-flakies. Formula was easy peasy to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This shade was inspired by Meg Murray from A Wrinkle in Time. I remember reading A Wrinkle in Time as a child and I think it was the book that really launched my fascination with the fantasy/sci-fi genre. I rarely read any "normal" books...they just aren't as much fun!
"Meg, I give you your faults."
"My faults!" Meg cried.
"Your faults."
"But I'm always trying to get rid of my faults!"
"Yes," Mrs. Whatsit said. "However, I think you'll find they'll come in very handy on Comazotz."
~A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle

You Are the Gull (Strong and Wild) is a deep indigo holo filled with blue micro-flakes. This one definitely has strong purple undertones, but is definitely blue. Formula was nice and opaque and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This shade was inspired by Jo from Little Women.
"You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone." ~Little Women, Louisa May Alcott
