Hi everyone! Today I have Scofflaw's new limited edition Spring 2015 Mini Collection to share with you. These bright hues are screaming late spring/summer to be, so they are releasing at the perfect time! This collection will be offered during one restock only on May 1 at 6 CDT (this Friday), but don't worry about having to have fast fingers to snag them because Finch is offering these for a 24-hour pre-order. Be sure to mark your calendars so you won't miss this event!
As you all know, neons/brights are extremely difficult to capture accurately, but I tried my very hardest to get these as close to real life as possible. Camera/lighting/skintone wreaks havoc with neons, but I feel like I did pretty good overall giving you accurate pictures of them. The blue gave me the most difficulty, but I talk more about it in the individual review.
Pink Elephants on Parade is a bright watermelon pink creme filled with copper aalsnd magenta glitters in different sizes as well as copper shimmer. Formula was excellent on this one and it could have been opaque in 2 regular coats, but I did 3 thin coats here. This is such a warm and wonderful pink that is perfect for summer. I can see this as an awesome pedi color too!
Subterranean Homesick Alien is an electric blue creme filled with shimmering flakes in pink, gold, and violet as well as some added holographic sparkle. Formula was very nice on this one and built up easily in 3 thin coats. Like a lot of bright/neon blues, this one photographed a bit lighter than it appears in real life, the color is actually a touch richer/deeper. This one was for sure the hardest to capture on camera because the shimmer is just so stunning in real life, you really need to see it!
Geriatric Lolita is a neon coral filled with green shimmer and tiny green/purple iridescent flake shimmer. Formula was good on this one and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage here. This one is super bright and fun and like Pink Elephants on Parade, equally wonderful as a pedi color! The contrasting shimmer/flakes are even better in person and make this polish glow. Also...the name...LOL!
Hack the Planet! is a neon lime green crelly filled with black and assorted pastel glitters as well as yellow flake shimmer. Formula and glitter load in this polish were very nice and it built up to full opacity in 3 thin coats. The glitters spread very easily and uniformly on the nail for a great finished look. I love eye-searing greens and this one definitely fits the bill! As usual, the shimmer Finch adds to her glittery polishes is the perfect finishing touch.
Scofflaw Nail Varnish is available in creator Finch's Big Cartel Shop as well as Mei Mei's Signatures. Be sure to follow Scofflaw's Facebook page and Instagram for updates on restocks and new collections (as well as to see lots of pretty swatches.) Thanks for looking everyone!
