Hi everyone! Today I have Lollipop Posse Lacquer's Terrible Twos Anniversary Trio. This gorgeous trio is releasing tonight in honor of their 2nd Anniversary! Be sure to visit the Lollipop Posse Lacquer shop tonight at 8 PM EDT to grab the trio for yourself!
Here is what Karen had to say about the collection inspiration
Each of these three shades is inspired by one of Karen's favorite literary characters: Delirium, from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novels. Delirium is the youngest of the seven Endless, beings who are neither gods nor mortals, but have existed since the dawn of time. Delirium is abstract, lost, naive, and wise, and embodies a chaotic state of being that we've all experienced at one time or another.Scathed Enough in Her Time is a blurple-leaning violet linear holo with a neon blue arc in the holographic flame. Formula was fantastic to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This polish is so saturated and GORGEOUS! The strong blue flame pops gorgeously in the sunlight (I've had this on my toes for a week and have constantly admired how they glow when I go outside).
"Despair: You cannot seek Destruction and return unscathed.
Desire: Delirium has.
Despair: Delirium has been scathed enough in her time."
-Despair and Desire, from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novels
Telephone Ice Cream is a white crelly that is packed full of various sizes of blue and purple shimmer. This white had a sheerer formula and since I use thin coats, I really liked it more at 4 thin coats to get full coverage, but if you use thicker coats or don't mind VNL/squishy finish, then 3 would probably be fine. I appreciate that it is a bit more sheer because it really allows the fantastic shimmer to pop through. Just look at the blue and purple flakes!
"Have you ever spent days and days making up flavors of ice cream that no one’s ever eaten before? Like chicken and telephone ice cream?…Green mouse ice cream was the worst. I didn’t like that at all."
-Delirium
One Hundred and Eleven Fish is a magenta crelly that suspends blue to green shifting shimmer and blue/green/purple ultrac chrome flakes. Formula was very nice to use and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This is the very first ultra chrome flake polish that Lollipop has released and it is fantastic! The flakes just swim in this jelly base and when the color shifts they look fiery from within (though I did not capture that well in photos). The touch of shimmer really rounds out the polish too and gives it something extra special.
"It was then that Delirium noticed that she had absentmindedly transformed herself into a hundred and eleven perfect, tiny, multicolored fish. Each fish sang a different song. And as she put herself back together again, unable for the moment to remember whether the silver flecks went in the blue eye or the green one, she decided that a dog would be a nice thing to have. And then it occurred to her that there had been a dog around at some point, hadn’t there? A nice doggie. And she went off to look for it, trailing occasional fish..."
