Pahlish New Releases May 2017

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have Pahlish's May 2017 releases to share with you! This is not one collection, but actually 4 mini collections including Doctor...Who?, By the Sea, Summer Creams, and Summer Escapes. All 4 mini collections are available now in the Pahlish shop.

Doctor...Who? Collection
Magician's Apprentice is a juicy coral jelly with soft red shimmer and purple/violet ultrachrome flakes. Formula was easy to apply and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This polish drew my attention immediately when I got my package and it did not disappoint! It's so bright and unique!

Don't Blink is a gunmetal foil with multicolored shifting flakes. Formula was very nice to use and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage (but I could have easily used 2 coats). The flakies are such an unexpected addition to a foil polish and are very pretty when they catch the light.

Time Vortex is a TARDIS blue foil with scattered holo flakes. Formula was very smooth and easy to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. The holo flakes here add a subtle complexity to this foil polish and the effect it beautiful. This is a gorgeous TARDIS blue!

Pompadour is a warm lavender/greige with copper and red shimmer and holo flakes. Formula was very easy to apply and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This is such a delicate and gorgeous shade! This is another favorite of mine from the collection for sure!

By the Sea Trio
Kiddie Pool is an ocean teal jelly with holo flakes. Formula was easy to apply and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. I adore holo flakes in a jelly base, and this one is perfection! The holo just glows from within.

Seaside is an ultramarine blue cream with scattered holo flakes. Formula was smooth and easy to apply and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. OMG...SUCH a pretty shade! This is a similar shade of blue to a fan favorite, Sailing the Hispaniola, butt instead of a linear holo finish, it has the pretty holo flakes throughout.

Ready or Yacht is a white cream with violet shimmer and assorted ultrachrome flakes. Formula was easy to apply without being streaky (which is great for a white) and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. My photos don't do this one justice because they don't show off the beautiful violet shimmer that really sets it off. It's a delicate touch, but makes this white flakie polish unique.

Summer Creams Trio
Lemon Bee is a soft neon yellow cream. Formula wasn't bad for a yellow (especially with some neon pigment involved), but it was easiest to apply using light coats (applying light pressure when applying) and allowing the coats to fully dry in between. I used 3 light coats here. I know neon isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you first see this yellow, but it has a slight neon glow to it, despite being bleached out. It even has a slight green tinge to it. It's a very pretty shade for summer, and quite unique!

Fairy Lights is a robin's egg blue cream. Formula was pretty easy to use, but I do recommend using light coats and allowing coats to dry in between so that streakiness does not occur. I used 3 light coats here for full coverage. This is simultaneously soft and bright...a lovely blue creme for summer!

Sugar Bloom is a delicate lavender cream. Formula was good to work with and I used 3 light coats for full coverage (and I did let the coats dry in between). This is a beautiful feminine shade! I've been drawn to lavenders like this lately and this one really pleased me.

Summer Escapes Collection
Reverie is a squishy purple jelly with assorted ultrachrome flakes. Formula applied smoothly and easily and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This polish is another favorite for sure! The flakes float like jewels in the jelly base, and are so much more vibrant in real life than photos show. It makes me think of a ultra chrome flake version of Dark Parades.

Islands in the Sky is a blurple jelly with matte and metallic teal glitters. Formula was very nice and the glitters were evenly distributed in the jelly base. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage and only 1 coat of topcoat was needed for a smooth finish. I feel like it has been ages since we've seen a Pahlish glittery jelly and I didn't realize how much I was missing them! This polish was a surprising favorite of mine!

Sharp and Tart is a cherry red foil. Formula was very nice and easy to apply and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is vibrant and flashy...just what you want from a red foil shade.

Ember is a warm coppery red holographic with copper shimmer. Formula was smooth and easy to use and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This is super holographic and gorgeous! A glowy summer red for sure!

Primadonna is a violet purple holographic with blue shimmer. Formula was fantastic and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is deep and rich and super holo. I think the great pigmentation of the shade makes the holo appear more muted in my photos than it is in real life...it's quite holo!

Electra Heart is an intense strawberry red holographic flake with pink/copper shimmer. Formula was great and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This polish is super pigmented and super glowy...the holo flakes burning from within the jelly base. I can never turn down a glowy red, and this one is perfection!
