Hi everyone! Today I have a brand new collection from KBShimmer called the Office Space Collection! After all of the rich colors and bling of the holidays, KBShimmer has toned it down a bit with some office appropriate shades that are most definitely still fun! The 8-piece Office Space Collection will be launching on January 4th in KBShimmer's shop.
Take Back CTRL is a medium dusty rose/mauve creme. Formula was excellent to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This shade if lovely and flattering and is a great alternative to a nude nail for the office.
Supplies Party is a warm cream colored crelly filled with metallic flakes and holo microglitter. Formula was very lovely and spread easily. It builds up nicely to opacity in 2 coats. The crelly base of this one tones down the highly metallic flakies just a bit to give this more of a delicate finish. It is really unique and pretty!
Staple Reaction is a deep, purple-tinged grey jelly filled with metallic flakes and holo microglitter. Fantastic formula that is easy to spread and build up to opacity in 2 coats. This one has a more blingy metallic feel than Supplies Party and it is super nice! A lovely neutral, but still packs a punch with the reflective flakes.
Makin Copies is the palest whitened silver linear holo with white shimmer. Formula spread easily and I used 3 thin coats for full opacity. The shimmer in this one gives it a nice sheen and gives it almost a frost-like feel (not the bad sort of frostiness of old timey polishes, but like shimmering frost on grass/leaves in the winter). It's definitely not an ordinary white or an ordinary silver, but somewhere in-between.
Fax of Life is a medium grey linear holo. Formula was lovely and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This has a strong flame, but as is typical with more creamy holos it isn't as "in your face" as some holos. It's a lovely grey that I think will be flattering on most everyone.
Cubicle Pusher is a a medium greyed out purple linear holo. Formula was very lovely and pigmented and I used 2 coats for full coverage. Again, this is a creamy holo and has a slightly muted tone so the holo is slightly less blingy, but still very lovely. This one leans very warm, but my camera had a hard time with it leaned more cool in some photos (the first photo is the most color accurate).
Caught on Tape is a pale rosy nude creme. Formula was easy to use and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. I did not have any issues with streakiness which is nice for a pale creme. This shade is a perfect "nude" tone for my highly pink/rosy undertones and because of this it looks very neutral on me. My camera always has fits with pale rose tones because they just look "nude" in my pics, but there is a definite pinkness to this polish.
A Hint of Manila is a vanilla nude crelly filled with silver holo microglitter. Formula was very lovely and despite this being such a pale colored base, it built up nicely to opacity in 2 coats. In the macro, you can see a bit of my nail through the polish, but that wasn't apparent really in real life. This is a super pretty shade and I just adore KBShimmer's microglitters so I'm always happy when there are new additions!
KBShimmer products are available from their website as well as from Harlow & Co. (Canada) and Color4Nails (United States) for international customers. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new collections and to see swatches of all of their polishes. Thanks for looking everyone!
