Lollipop Posse Lacquer's Wicked Little Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have the gorgeous Wicked Little Collection from Lollipop Posse Lacquer to share with you! These beauties, inspired by Hedwig and the Angry Itch, are all sorts of blingy and beautiful! The bold shades are definitely a break from the traditional springtime collections that are out in abundance right now, so be sure to check them out! The Wicked Little Collection is available now in the Lollipop Posse Lacquer shop. I've also included the song lyrics from the musical that Karen was inspired by to create each shade!

A Flood of Wind and Rain is an ocean blue jelly with a mixture of holo microglitters and holo pigment. Formula was excellent and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage, though I could have gotten away with 2 for sure. This polish is SO pretty and I could not resist wearing it on its own for a few days. The glitter really add to the magnificence of this linear holo.

"And Osiris and the gods of the Nile / Gathered up a big storm / To blow a hurricane / To scatter us away / In a flood of wind and rain / And a sea of tidal waves / To wash us all away" ~The Origin of Love, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

A Transmission on the Midnight Radio is a silver holo microglitter with pops of sapphire blue and ocean blue glitters. This can easily be used as a topper with one thin coat over your choice of base shade, but I really loved it on its own in 3 thin coats. The formula built up nicely to opacity and it wasn't too thick or too thin, just a wonderful consistency. This was such a fun and blingy glitter on its own!

"And you're shining / Like the brightest star / A transmission / On the midnight radio / And you're spinning / Like a 45 /Ballerina / Dancing to your rock and roll" ~Midnight Radio, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Blood and Graffiti is a blood red jelly with various sizes of holographic red glitters. Formula was excellent to work with and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage, but I could have easily gotten away with 2. OMG...this polish is just UGH! I've always been a sucker for red jellies with holo glitters, but this might be my favorite one EVER. Seriously...well done Karen! It just GLOWS!

"I rose from off of the doctor's slab / like Lazarus from the pit / Now everyone wants to take a stab / and decorate me / with blood graffiti and spit / Enemies and adversaries / they try and tear me down / You want me, baby, I dare you / Try and tear me down." ~Tear Me Down, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Licorice Drops and Jelly Roll is a black jelly filled with navy and purple/blue color shifting flakes as well as a sprinkling of purple iridescent microglitter. Formula was excellent with full coverage in 3 thin coats. This one was not the easiest to photograph because it was hard to capture all of the gorgeous complexity of shimmers. In real life, they pop wonderfully against the black base and have an obvious blue/purple shift with even some hints of gold at extreme angles.

"I've got a sweet tooth / for licorice drops and jelly roll / Hey sugar daddy / Hansel needs some sugar in his bowl." ~Sugar Daddy, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Midnight Checkout Queen is a magenta pink jelly with holo microflakes and purple and cherry holographic microglitter plus a sprinkle of red/purple color-shifting pigment. This one started out sheer, but built up very nicely and easily to opacity in 3 thin coats. This was another blingy, gorgeous shade! The bit of shimmer really gives it a unique look  and adds to the complexity of the polish.
"I put on some make-up / And turn on the tape deck / And pull the wig back on my head / Suddenly I'm / Miss Midwest Midnight Checkout Queen / Until I head home / And I put myself to bed." ~Wig in a Box, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

The Stranger is Always You is a chocolate brown crelly filled with blue, pink, and aqua flake shimmer. Formula was very nice and easy to use and I used 3 thin coats for full opacity, though I'm pretty sure 2 coats would have been fine (I often add a third coat because I like the additional depth, which is what I did with a lot of these shades). This was definitely a unique combination and it really worked! It reminded me of chocolate with colored sugar sprinkles on top!

"And there's no mystical design / No cosmic lover preassigned / There's nothing you can find that can not be found / 'Cause with all the changes you've been through / It seems the stranger's always you / Alone again in some new / Wicked little town." ~Wicked Little Town, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Time Collapses, Space Warps has a blurple crelly base filled with purple/blue color shifting flakes and purple/blue color shifting shimmer. Formula was very easy to work with and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This is one of those tricksy shades that looks more blue at time and more purple at other times. It's such a glowy, lovely shade that truly needs to be seen in person to be appreciated! I took outside shots of it because I thought it really showed it off better in shaded light vs a light box.

"The automatist's undoing / The whole world starts unscrewing / As time collapses and space warps / You see decay and ruin / I tell you 'No, no no no / You make such an exquisite corpse'" ~Exquisite Corpse, Hedwig and the Angry Inch
