Hi everyone! Tonight I have Ever After Polish's Golden Afternoon Collection to share with you! This 4-piece collection is inspired, of course, by Alice in Wonderland's classic song sung by the flowers! I know most people love the Cheshire Cat, but as a child my absolute favorite part of the movie was all of the beautiful flowers singing Golden Afternoon. I also have a review of some Cuticle Crelly scents including some new ones for Spring! The Golden Afternoon Collection as well as the Cuticle Crelly are available now in the Ever After Polish shop!
Bread and Butterflys is a peachy nude crelly with ultra chrome flakes, peachy shimmer, and scattered holo. Formula started out sheer but built up to squishy opacity in 3 coats (you will see this theme a lot in this post, they are all very squishy polishes that show a slight VNL at 3 coats). This is such an interesting twist on a nude! I didn't expect to like it on my skintone, but it was quite flattering. The shimmer really puts this one over the top!
Month of June is a blue-green crelly with blue/green ultra chrome flakes, gold glitter, and blue/green shimmer. Another squishy formula that builds up nicely in 3 coats. This polish has a gorgeous, oceany feel to it and it's one of my favorites!
Lazy Daisies is an off-white crelly with golden and silver flakes as well as scattered holo shimmer. Formula started out sheer but built up to a nice, squishy opacity in 3 coats with slight VNL. This is such a soft and lovely shade! I wore this one on my birthday, actually :D.
Don't Wake Me in the Morning Glory is a cool lavender crelly with white matter glitters, iridescent glitters, and blue/green shimmer. Formula built up nicely in 3 thin coats and smoothed out well with 1 coat of a thicker topcoat. I think this polish perfectly represents a morning glory!
They also sent me samples of some delicious Cuticle Crelly scents to try out. I adore Ever After's Cuticle Crelly and I have it in a few scents already (I'm a huge fan of the seasonal favorite, Fruit Cake). Cuticle Crelly is a light and nourishing cuticle product that has the consistency of a thick lotion, so it doesn't leave your skin oily. It has lovely oils whipped into it, including my personal favorite jojoba! It used to have petroleum jelly in it, but Ever After recently announced that they have revamped the formula to be petroleum-free. I use this throughout the day in combination with cuticle oil to keep my cuticles soft and moisturized.
Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Lanolin, Vitamin E, Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Sunflower Seed Oil, JoJoba Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Stearic Acid, Soy Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Emulsifying Wax, Vegetable, Glycerin, Palmitic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Vitamin C, Citric Acid, Rosemary Oil (natural preservative)
Let's check out the scents!
Pink Champagne is an apricot scent laced with brandy, winter berries, and champagne. I'm starting with this one because I'm a bit biased since I already own a hand crelly in this scent and it is my absolute favorite scent I've tried from Ever After. It's so sweet and fruity and I love the undertones of brandy and champagne.
Strawberry is a perfectly fruity strawberry scent. It's not too sweet and it's a total winner in my book! After smelling it, I definitely want to go get a full size since I don't already have one!
Cherry Blossom is a very clean floral scent. I'm not a huge floral fan, but I really like this one! It's not heavy and overpowering like some floral scents can be and it smells very fresh to me.
Lavender is a very pure and true lavender scent. It's a very nice scent for lavender lovers, but I personally always find lavender too overpowering so it's not for me.
Rose Garden has a combination of rose, violet, and gardenia scents and it reminds me of fancy soap. Rose is actually one of the few floral scents that I've always liked, and I love the hint of gardenia in there as well. I find gardenia to be a lovely scent, but overpowering on its own so there is a nice balance here.
Get Dirty is a citrus scent with hints of dirt and earth. LOL...I really didn't know what to expect from this one, but it's very clean and fresh! I think the slight earthiness helps to cut the tartness of the citrus and makes it a very soft and wearable scent.
Ever After Polish is available from their Big Cartel shop. Be sure to follow them on Facebook, Instagram , and Twitter for more release info and to see more swatches! Thanks for looking everyone!
