Hi everyone! Today I have Dreamland Lacquer's Wayfinder Collection to share with you! Right after Noelie told me about the inspiration for this collection I finally watched Moana for the first time and it was EXCELLENT! If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it! These polishes are gorgeous, but I totally love knowing the inspiration behind them now. The Wayfinder Collection are on pre-order right now for a 48 hour pre-order window (ends tomorrow at 2 PM CDT) in the Dreamland Lacquer shop.
Village Crazy Lady is a bright cerulean blue jelly filled with holo microglitters and red/green color shifting glitters. Formula is on the thicker side due to the glitter load, but is easy to spread. I used 3 thin coats plus 2 coats of a thicker topcoat for a smooth finish. This blue is AMAZING! It tended to freak out a bit in photos, but man I love it so much. It's a bit more squishy and saturated in real life. This polish pays homage to Moana's grandmother, who was the one person who never let her give up on her dreams.
Consider the Coconut is a taupe jelly with holo microglitters and red/green color shifting glitters. Formula had good glitter load and was easy to spread. It builds up nicely to full coverage in 3 thin coats and I used 2 coats of a thicker topcoat for a smooth finish. The neutral shade is such a lovely contrast for the iridescent glitters sparkling within...love! This polish was inspired by the song "Where You Are" from Moana, in which it discusses how their island provides them with what they need to survive.
Heart of the Ocean is a bright green jelly filled with holo microglitters and red/green color shifting glitters. Formula was very much like the Consider the Coconut and Village Crazy lady and again, reached full coverage in 3 thin coats and needed 2 coats of thicker topcoat for a smooth finish. I've always said it...Dreamland makes the BEST greens and this is a testament to that! It's so vivid! This polish is inspired by The Heart of Te Fiti, which is what the quest in Moana is centered around. Moana is tasked to return this relic to it's owner which is thought will restore prosperity to her island home.
Boat Snack is a medium orange linear holo. Formula was divine and I used 2 coats for full coverage. The orange lover in me adores this glowy holo so much! This polish was also inspired by my favorite character from Moana, her crazy rooster sidekick Hei Hei.
Your Granny Lied! is a champagne gold linear holo with gold shimmer. Formula was great to work with and I used 2 coat for full coverage. This is an exceedingly flattering shade of gold, and I love the flecks of golden shimmer that add to interest of the finish. This polish is an homage to the greedy crab Tamatoa who loved to all of his "Shiny" golden treasures that he collected on his shell.
Dreamland Lacquer is available from their Big Cartel Shop. Be sure to follow Dreamland Lacquer on Facebook and Instagram for updates on restocks and new collections. Thanks for looking everyone!
