KBShimmer Spring 2015 Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have KBShimmer's Spring 2015 Collection to share with you! This collection has 12 polishes total including 7 glitter crellies, 1 creme, 1 shimmery holo, and 3 ultra holos. These are all wonderful springy shades that I think everyone is going to LOVE, so let's take a closer look!

Eyes White Open is A WHITE CREME! I've been waiting for KBShimmer to make a white creme ever since they started their creme venture and it did not disappoint! Formula on this is very creamy and opaque without streaking or dragging. It is perfect in 2 coats. Christy sent these pretties out back in December, so I've actually used this one several times since for different layerings and nail art and it is for sure my new go-to white creme.

Meow or Never is a pale grey crelly with glitters in purple, grey, periwinkle, and sky blue. Formula was flowed really smoothly and easily with this one with great glitter density. It builds up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. I'm sure that you guys know that Marsala is Pantone's Color of the Year, but Pantone also releases a color palette for the different seasons of the year and this one is based on the Pantone spring color Glacier Gray. I must admit when I saw this one in the bottle, it wasn't one I was really excited about (I tend to be that way with greys), but once I got it on my nails it ended up being one of my absolute favorites! The color palette is so cool and soothing and the super pale (almost white) grey was very flattering!

Sweet Egg-scape is a bubblegum pink crelly with in lavender dots, pastel aqua stars, coral triangles, red squares, white hexes, and small silver holo hexes. The glitters in this one were well distributed and the shaped glitters came out really well with no fishing. Formula spread nicely and built up to opacity in 3 thin coats. This polish was meant to be easter-egg like and I think it is super cute! I also think it would be great for Valentine's Day!

To Peach His Own is a light peach crelly with holo glitters in lime green, gold, violet, and magenta. Formula and glitter distribution was great on this polish and it was nice and opaque at 3 thin coats. I absolutely love this one! The bright colored glitters really popped against the pale peach base for a really fresh springy look.

Cool Hand Cuke is a pale mint green crelly with pastel colored glitters in circles, triangles, stars, and hexes with a touch of holographic silver glitters. Formula was a touch thick on this one, so I did add a few drops of thinner to it and it then applied smoothly. It built up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. I really like minty greens, but I was just really wanting the glitters to pop a bit more in this one. It definitely has a spring feel though!

Funky Cold Patina has a turquoise crelly base with copper, blue, and purple glitters. Formula was good with great glitter density. It built up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. The color of this one was inspired by the green patina that aged copper has (like the Statue of Liberty). It's so bright and lovely, and I have a feeling it is going to be a crowd favorite!

Wind Swarm is a pale blue crelly with purple, blue, white, and pink glitters and small silver holo glitters. The formula on this one is lovely and it builds up nicely in 3 thin coats. This polish was inspired by the Pantone spring color Aquamarine. This was definitely another favorite of mine because it is so light and ethereal and I loved the added holo sparkle.

I'm So Sweet Pea is a pale lilac crelly with pink, mint, purple, and turquoise glitters. Formula and glitter density were great on this one and it built up nicely in t 3 thin coats. This is the palest of pale purples, and can even look just a touch grey at times. A very delicate spring color.

Blush Money is a peachy rose polish with golden shimmer and a linear holo finish. Formula was superb on this one and it was nice and opaque at 2 coats. The golden shimmer in this one comes out more in lower lights and the holo flame comes to life in brighter light. This polish was based on the Pantone spring color Strawberry Ice. I'm totally smitten with this one, it makes me think of carnations!

Blue-d Lines is a pale blue linear ultra holo. Formula was really nice and opaque and had complete coverage in 2 easy coats. These three ultra holos are packed with holographic pigment so the flame is absolutely stunning!

Ins and Sprouts is a pale citron green linear ultra holo. This one has the same formula as Blue-d Lines and is nice and opaque in 2 coats with that fantastic holo flame. This one really tugged at my green lover heartstrings, so pretty!

Thistle Be the Day is a pale pinkish-purple linear ultra holo. Once again, beautiful formula consistent with the other two ultra holos that is nice and opaque in 2 coats with a beautiful flame. This polish makes me so happy because it reminds me of one of my favorite polishes of all time (and super rare and hard to find) OPI DS Original. *hugs bottle* Just stunning!

  1. They're all gorgeous! Do you happen to have ILNP Cutie Pop? I'm dying to see a comparison swatch of that next to Blush Money.
