2014 Mainstream Favorites

*Some items in the post were provided for review*

Hi everyone! Today I have a wrap-up of my favorite mainstream polishes this year. Surprisingly, there were a ton of cremes on the list this year, but I really thought there were some excellent ones!

FingerPaints had some really cute glitters this year, and these were my two favorites!

FingerPaints Sparkle With Me (over Orly Snowcone)

I think Orly did a great job of stepping outside the box this year. I would give them the "most improved" award for mainstream polishes this year. The collections that both of these polishes were from were my favorite Orly collections, and these two polishes were outstanding (I would venture to say the best two mainstream polishes this year). Keep up the good work Orly!

Orly Mirrorball

Orly Hot Tropics

I would venture to guess that a lot of people think OPI was pretty boring this year, but even though I was initially un-enthused about their collections, I truly found some winners this year in the creme department. I can't believe it, but I would have to say that my favorite overall mainstream collection this year was the OPI Brazil Collection and it was hard for me to just pick two cremes from there to include on this list because I loved them all SO much. In the end, a perfect bright coral and bright yellow creme had to get my top spots.

OPI Live.Love.Carnaval

OPI I Just Can't Cope-acabana

The OPI Nordic Collection wasn't my favorite collection in its entirety, but there were a few standouts. I also loved My Dogsled is a Hybrid, but these two amazing purple cremes hit it out of the park.

OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm

OPI OPI Viking in a Vinter Vonderland

OPI also had two winners from their Coca-Cola Collection (Coca-Cola Red is a fab red creme), but this amazing duochrome had to take top prize.

OPI Green on the Runway

And finally, OPI stole my heart with this whimsical (and very indie-like) glitter from their Peanuts Halloween Collection.

Zoya had some beauties out this year and had my second favorite overall collection (fall Entice and Ignite). As usual, Zoya had lovely, cohesive collections that had a great mix of classic finishes and some unexpected ones. The fall Ignite Collection was just stunning all around, but Yuna really wowed me (which is so odd for a grey polish) so it had to get my top spot.

The summer offerings from Zoya were really bright and lovely for the season. The Tickled Collection had lovely bright cremes, and though there were a few contenders for favorite (Kitridge was up there too!) Rocha had my vote for best.

The summer Zoya Bubbly Collection had a great mix of colors in this fantastic glitter/shimmer finish. My two favorites were Muse and Binx, but I had to give the win to Muse because it is such a perfect "mermaid" polish.

So those were my mainstream favorites from the year! Conspicuously absent are any polishes from China Glaze. While there were a few China Glazes that I liked, I didn't LOVE any of them enough to be on the list. Here's hoping for China Glaze to step up their game in 2015! Thanks for looking everyone!
