KBShimmer Summer 2016 Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! I'm a a little behind, but today I have KBShimmer's Summer 2016 offerings to share with you! These 12 polishes are a great mixture of finishes including some of KBShimmer's classic crelly/glitter finishes, holos, cremes, metallic flake polishes, as well as some lovely creamy shimmers which are a bit different for KBShimmer. There is also a brand new LE Hand Care scent that will be available just for summer. This collection is available now in the KBShimmer shop.

Don't Play Koi is a muted white crelly with accents of coral, aqua, and grey hex glitters. Formula was nice and spread easily and I was able to get squishy coverage at 3 coats with a good glitter distribution. I adore the color combo here so much! The grey mellows it out a bit and is perfect ith the coral and aqua.

Neon Me is an off-white crelly packed with neon circle glitters in a variety of neon shades with a smattering of holo microglitter. Lovely formula and glitter distribution here and I used 3 coats for full coverage. Neons pop so well against white so this combo is a match made in heaven and perfectly summery. The white crelly base of this shade seemed a bit less squishy than Don't Play Koi, so it has just a slightly more opaque final look to it.

That's Nude to Me is a pink-toned nude linear holo with subtle platinum shimmer to give it a soft look. Fantastic formula here with full coverage in 2 coats. The pinkish undertones in this one worked perfectly with my skintone, so as you can see it is a very complimentary nude shade on me.

One Night Sand is a metallic flake polish with copper and rose gold flakes and pops of holo. Formula was nice to work with and built up nicely to opacity in 2 coats. This is such a blingy and reflective shade and I love the coppery tones! You can clearly see it's reflectiveness in the macros because you can see the reflection of my blue camera on the nail!

Good Reef is a light peachy coral with blue shimmer that pops in certain lights. Formula was easy to use and I thought worked best using thin coats. Here, I used 3 thin coats for opacity. The shimmer is so pretty in this one...it has a slight violet/pink shift in it as well in certain lights.

How Low Can You Flamingo is a hot neon pink creme. Formula was superb and I used 2 coats for full coverage. Wow...I can't even express how amazing this neon is! I have worn it twice already and now I want to put it on my toes! Great formula, great shade...you can't go wrong with this one if you are a pink lover!

Mai Tai One On is a lemonade yellow with gold and soft green shimmer. Another lovely shimmer formula and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. This golden shimmer of this one is divine and really takes it to the next level! The full mani shots are more color accurate (the macros turned out lighter for some reason) and I think it is a nicely flattering yellow shade (because I know that some are not as forgiving).

Ready for a Good Lime is described as a soft lime green creme, but I find it to be pretty bright...in a fantastic way! Formula was easy to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is a green that was made for the summer!

Playing With the Buoys is a soft mint green creme with blue undertones. Beautiful formula to work with and I got full opacity in 2 coats. This is a such a "me" shade and it's a lovely addition to KBShimmer's creme line (that I'm so glad they are ever expanding).

Suit the Breeze is a periwinkle blue creme with tons of pink and violet microflakes. Formula was easy to use and I got full coverage in 3 thin coats. The shimmer was so much harder to capture in this shade than the other shimmers, but it is much nicer in real life with pink flashes.

Along for the Tide is a inky blue holo with shimmery microflecks that shift from pink to violet and blue to purple. Great, easy to use formula and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is a complex galaxy of a polish and so much better in real life than photos can capture. The strong pink/violet shimmer is divine!

Gull, Get Real! is a light grey-toned purple with micro holo and metallic flakes. Formula was very nice to use and I thought it was going to be sheer, but built up nicely in 2 coats. This is such an interesting shade with its purple undertones but definitely bordering on grey. Once again...totally reflective and blingy and showing my blue camera in the reflection. (LOL!)

There is also a new limited edition scent for hand care products for summer called Margarita Lime which will be available in mani shots, lotions, and scrubs. Christy sent us a Mani Shot to try out, but I also ordered a lotion. This scent is described as salty lime with subtle notes of raspberry, apple, strawberry and peach and ends with hints of jasmine and vanilla. This one smells good enough to drink and I think that it perfectly captures the scent of a delicious margarita. It's definitely my kind of scent, and I'm so glad that I went for the lotion too! I might have to pick up a sugar scrub before summer is over since my current one is running low.

KBShimmer products are available from their website as well as from Harlow & Co. (Canada) for international customers. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new collections and to see swatches of all of their polishes. Thanks for looking everyone!
