KBShimmer Winter 2016 Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! I'm waaay behind, but here is KBShimmer's Winter 2016 Collection! These blingy beauties are perfect for the holidays and beyond! KBShimmer also released some amazing sounding holiday scented bath and body products which would be perfect Christmas gifts (Cocoa and Cookies, Very Merry Cranberry, Spiced Pumpkin, and Gingerbread Men), so be sure to check those out as well. Also, there are fun gifts with purchases of $75 or more including a holo bag, mini crystal file, and a nail polish bottle charm. All of these amazing Winter/Holiday items are available now on KBShimmer's website.

Yeti or Not is a grey tinged white polish loaded with iridescent and holographic glitters. Formula is thick, but it's not bad to work with and I used 2 coats here. It is very dense and full of glitters so it dries to a very textured finish. It can be worn this way, but I really didn't love the way it looked textured and preferred it with at least 2 coats of thicker topcoat to smooth it out. It has such a wonderful sparkle and the topcoat really pulled that out.

Take Me For Granite is a pale grey crelly with black, silver, and grey glitters. Formula was very easy to use with great glitter density and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. I really get the granite feel with this polish, and I think I loved it even more with some KBShimmer Oh Matte! topcoat!

Bling in the New Year is a silver metallic flake polish filled with holo glitters and multicolored metallic flakes. Formula was easy to work with and I used 2 coats for full opacity. This is such a fun party polish with all of the colors peeking through the silver!

Haute Mess is a clear-based glitter topper loaded with silver, copper, rose gold, and holographic glitters. Glitter coverage was great and I used 1 coat over a rosy nude crème. This is such a blingy and festive glitter for the holidays!

Get to the Poinsettia is a red linear holo. Formula was excellent on this one and I used 2 coats for full coverage. OMG...this is the perfect red holo! It's so rich and bright! I grabbed this one instantly and wore it for a full mani when I got these.

Chai-huahua is a warm brick red creme. Formula was perfect and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is definitely a red with some spice to it, and it is lovely for the holidays.

Whiskey Business is a warm, golden yellow loaded with metallic flakes and scattered micro holo glitter. Formula was really nice and built up to great opacity in 2 coats. This is definitely a show stopper and super unique. I happen to really love golden yellows now (I know...I used to hate them...but they have grown on me) and this one is amazing!

The Holy Kale is a green linear holo loaded with glass flecks that shift from blue and pink. Formula was slightly thinner than some of KBShimmers other holos (I'm sure to let the glass flecks pop), but it built up to a nice opacity in 3 coats. The shimmery glass flecks totally make this shade special. It's for sure not your average green holo.

Spruce Things Up is a Christmas green jelly polish filled with silver and holo microglitters. Formula was easy to use and it built up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. This is a beautiful shade and since I adore KBShimmer's microglitters I was hoping for a Christmas green shade and my wish was granted!

Have a Look Ski is a deep teal linear holo. Formula was easy to use and you could get away with 2 coats, but I ended up using 3 coats here. This is a lovely teal and I can totally see KBShimmer's ski jacket inspo in it.

Ink Again is an inky blue holo with a scattered finish. Formula was nice and easy to use and I used 2 coats for full coverage. I liked that this was a slightly more scattered holo because it is such a beautiful, elegant finish.

Royal to a Fault is a royal purple shade filled with color shifting glassflecks that shift from blue to violet at different angles. Formula starts off slightly sheer, but builds up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. This one reminds me of a rare polish that I never could get my paws on, OPI DS Royal! The color shift is lovely and sparkly!

Just Duvet It is a rich grape purple with a touch of pink shimmery flakes and holo microglitter sparkle. Formula was very easy to use and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage. I've seen shades like this pop up in a few places lately and they feel very vintage to me. I love the mix of shimmer and teeny pops of holo microglitter.

A Walk in the Park-A is an orchid creme. Formula was excellent to use and I used 2 easy coats for full coverage. This purple shade is rich yet vibrant and is lovely for the winter.

Ornamentally Flawless is a clear-based glitter topper filled with multi-colored glitters in turquoise, fuchsia, gold, green, and silver. Formula was very easy to spread with great glitter density and coverage. Here I used 1 coat over A Walk in the Park-A. This glitter bomb is so fun for the holidays and would look great over and shade you choose.

Soot and Ladders is a black jelly filled with a rainbow of micro flake shade. Formula was easy to use and built up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats. The flakes in this polish really shine when the light hits them and I can very much see the inspiration of Christmas lights shining in the dark. And look at how pretty the colors pop with some Oh Matte topcoat on top!

KBShimmer products are available from their website as well as from Harlow & Co. (Canada) and Color4Nails (United States) for international customers.
