Hare Polish The Abduction of Persephone Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have one of Hare Polish's Winter 2014 collections to share with you, The Abduction of Persephone Collection. This Greek mythology-inspired collection contains 3 deep, vampy jellies filled with all sorts of glitter, shimmer, and flakes. Per usual, Nikole has managed to create wonderful depth in these polishes that it is even more gorgeous in person!

Poison Pomegranate is a deep pomegranate red jelly filled with gold flakes, blue, purple, and iridescent gold microglitter, and purple shimmer. Formula was really nice on this one and the jelly built up nicely to opacity in 3 thin coats plus 2 coats of a thicker topcoat for a glassy smooth finish. This was my favorite of the three because I adore the base color and the addition of the flakes and glitters make it look very jewel-like on the nails.

Demeter's Destruction is an deep blue jelly filled with white and iridescent glitters as well as a purple shimmer. Formula was easy to work with using 3 thin coats for coverage plus 2 coats of a thicker topcoat for a glassy finish. You probably could get away with 2 careful coat of this one, but I did 3 thin coats for added depth. With all Hare Polish jellies, I find it is best to work in thin coats so that you don't get too much glitter in each coat, but you still get the gorgeous depth of the glitters in each jelly layer (does that make sense or am I talking crazy?). The purple shimmer was amazing in this and was a bit camera shy for me, but you can see hints of it in my pictures. The pops of iridescent glitter and sparkle against the inky base are really beautiful!

Queen of the Underworld is a plummy purple jelly filled with teal and hot pink matte glitters, gold flakes, and blue shimmer. Formula was easy to work with and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage plus 2 coats of a thicker topcoat for a glassy smooth finish. I'm so loving the bright blue shimmery goodness against the plum base, the color combo is awesome!

Hare Polish is available from Nikole's Etsy Shop as well as from several other e-tailers around the world (complete list found here). Be sure to check out Hare's websiteInstagram, and Facebook for updates on new collections and restock info.
