Indigo Bananas Rainbow in the Dark

*Polish provided by the maker*

Hi everyone! Today I have another beautiful polish from Indigo Bananas' Summer Rains CollectionRainbow in the Dark is a black jelly with rainbow flakies and scattered holo effect. The rainbow flakes really pop against the dark base and the holo just adds a lot of wonderful depth to the polish. Formula was great and I used 3 thin coats for this mani. If you are a flakie lover, they really have a starring role in this polish so I would recommend adding it to your wishlist!

Indigo Bananas polishes are available from their shop as well as from Edgy Polish (Sweden) and Mei Mei's Signatures (Singapore). Be sure to follow Indigo Bananas on their official websiteFacebookInstagramPinterest, and Twitter to see many amazing swatches and keep up-to-date on new collections, restocks, etc. Thanks for looking everyone!

Elevation Polish SBP Red Sea

*Purchased by me*

Hi everyone! Today I have my very first small batch prototype (SBP) from Elevation Polish to share with you. Creator Lulu has SBPs at most restocks and they consist of a very limited quantity of prototype polishes that are notoriously difficult to snag, so I was very pleased to grab this one before they sold out.

Elevation Polish SBP Red Sea is AMAZING! It is a strong multichrome holo that shifts from red/green/bronze. It is very opaque (almost a one coater) but I used 2 coats for my mani. The formula also spreads very easily and evenly. I could wear this polish all the time and I would be ok with it, I like it that much. It is going to be restocked on the 22 of this month, but you will have to be quick to get it, as there are very limited quantities available.

Elevation Polish is available from creator Lulu's Big Cartel Store. She has a lot of info on restock dates and availability on the Big Cartel site as well as on her blog. Her shop is restocked on the 7th and 22nd each month unless otherwise noted. Elevation Polish is also stocked at Llarowe.

Thanks for looking everyone!

Girly Bits Food Fight! for August's A Box, Indied

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! I've got a preview of Girly Bits' contribution to August's A Box, Indied. All of the polishes/products in August's box are frat-tastically themed and are inspired by the movie "National Lampoon's Animal House". August's box will go on sale at Llarowe on July 26.

Girly Bits Food Fight! is a medium grey crelly filled with tiny holographic glitter and loads of large and small iridescent glitter (some is the orange/red and some of the blue/green). Formula was fantastic on this polish and had complete coverage in 3 thin coats. It spread easily with fantastic glitter distribution. I used my regular topcoat with Food Fight! and it was completely smooth. All I have to say is, this must be a very elegant food fight, because this polish is one classy broad.

A Box, Indied is available from Llarowe for $50 each. Each box contains 5 polishes and/or products that are exclusive to that box and will not be available individually. You can sign up to receive a box each month or you can purchase the boxes individually when they are released. Follow Llarowe's Facebook page for announcements of exact dates and times of releases (the box for the next month is usually released around the end of the previous month.) She will also give previews of the products and makers that will be in the box (there is a rotation of makers that are included, it isn't always the same). Thanks for looking everyone!

Smitten Polish Endless Sunset - Edgy Polish Exclusive

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous Smitten Polish to show you that is an Edgy Polish exclusive. Endless Sunset is a bright peachy-orange jelly base packed with silver holographic microglitter. Formula was great and was opaque in 2 coats. I used a thicker topcoat + quick dry topcoat to get it glassy smooth. This is such a bright and fun polish! The color of this polish was terrible difficult to capture, but this was as close as I could get with some adjusting. It has even a little more of a pinky/coral tone to it in real life. If you have Safety Dance, which is the orange holo from the summer collection, just know that it is the same base color but it is a microglitter instead of a holo. Hopefully that will be a big help for you Smitten Polish lovers out there because I know you likely have snagged that one already.

OTT Light. You can see the corally tones best here but it still isn't perfect. (I tried guys! I really tried!)

Natural Light. These are even more color innacurate. They make it look more of an carrot orange but it really does have this awesome pinky coral leaning quality to it that my camera refuses to pick up. It is gorgeous, just trust me guys! I think there is some sort of neon pigment at play here that exists only to be beautiful and frustrating to photograph.

As I said, Endless Sunset will be exclusively available at Edgy Polish in Sweden (owner Katarina ships internationally at very reasonable prices).

Other Smitten Polishes are available in creator Noelie's Big Cartel Shop as well as Femme Fatale Cosmeticsand Shoppe Eclecticco. Be sure to follow Smitten Polish on Facebook and Instagram for updates on restocks and new collections. Thanks for looking everyone!

Rainbow Leopard Mani with Born Pretty Store Water Decals

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! I recently received these really fun rainbow leopard water decals (item K171) from Born Pretty Store to review. I thought I would use a white base (OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls) so that the colors would really pop. There were hot pink, yellow, and blue decals. I used 2 decals for each nail (you could sort of fit them together like a puzzle on the nail). They were really easy to work with and held up really well. I wore them for 4 days while I was on vacation at the beach and they still looked great when I changed my mani.

Be sure to check out Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art supply needs (you can use my coupon code JCX31 for 10% off your order).  I've always had great experiences with ordering from them at very reasonable prices. Also, you can't beat free worldwide shipping! You can also follow Born Pretty Store on Facebook and Instagram

Studio M Slammin' Red

*Purchased by me*

Hi everyone! Today I have an oldie but goodie for you. I remember when I first started hanging around the MakeupAlley nailboard in 2010 this polish was posted often and I always thought it was so gorgeous. I had never even heard of the brand, so for some reason I assumed that it was an old discontined brand and thus my hopes of ever owning this polish were just a pipe dream. Fast forward 4 years and I somehow stumble upon the knowledge that this brand is alive and kicking, it is just not sold in my area. Through a lovely custom purchase from Meijer, I was finally able to own it (along with its equally beautiful conterpart, Purple Medallion). The lesson here is: ASK QUESTIONS!

Studio M Slammin' Red isn't so much red but more of a raspberry reddish-pink jelly filled to the brim with silver holographic microglitter. It's definitely not the most unique thing out there, but it sure is sparkly! I used 2 coats for this mani. It is very gritty and requires a thicker topcoat + quick dry topcoat to smooth it out. Also, the bottle is super awkward to hold in pictures (#bloggerproblems). This is one of those polishes that totally gives your nails that jewel-encrusted look.

As I mentioned, the only place that I personally know of that Studio M Polishes are sold is at Meijer, but there could be other drugstores out there where it is sold that I'm not aware of, just none in my neck of the woods. Thanks for looking everyone!

Darling Diva Polish Cotton Candy Hangover (LE Custom)

*Purchased by me*

Hi everyone! Today I have a lovely polish from Darling Diva Polish that was created as an exclusive group custom for We Are Darling Divas on Facebook (it was limited to one batch and is no longer available). Cotton Candy Hangover is a cool metallic lavender holographic polish with subtle blue/pink shimmer. Formula was good and was perfectly opaque at 2 coats. The holographic effect is pretty strong and is so flashy against the metallic base. Such a gorgeous polish!

Darling Diva Polish is available from creator Carrie's Big Cartel Shop. As I mentioned, this polish was a group custom and therefore isn't available to purchase, but be sure to check out all of Carrie's other amazing polishes. Darling Diva Polish is also available from Llarowe. Follow Darling Diva Polish on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new collections and restock news.
