Paint All the Nails Presents Pastel Geometric

*Some previous press samples included*

Hi everyone! Today I have the March edition of Paint all the Nails Presents and today we decided to have a double doozie: Pastel Geometric. As soon as I saw this prompt I knew what I wanted to do because it's a nail art design that I've had on my list to try for years! It's a very simple technique using striping tape, but it can be a little time consuming. The end results are totally worth it though!

For this mani, I started off with a base of one of the brand new Cirque shades called Mint Chip. You guys know I love flecked cremes and this one is stunning! As is important with all taped designs, be sure to let the base dry COMPLETELY (probably even longer than you think is ok) before you start laying tape down. After the base was dry, I layed my striping tape down in random patterns so I ended up with all sorts of fun geometric shapes: triangles, diamonds, squares, rectangles, rhombi, and parallelograms (oh I've impressed you with my geometry vocabulary, yes?). Then I used a small brush and applied a different shade to each section as quickly as possible. I used 3 Polish My Life shades including Rays of Sun (yellow), Pumpkin Mashup (orange), Muscat Martini (purple) as well as Zoya Lillian (blue). I removed the tape as soon as possible and then added 2 coats of topcoat for a smooth finish. I was reall pleased with how this turned out! It didn't take nearly as long as I imagined it would and the end result is so fun!

Be sure to check out what all of the other lovely ladies have created today! Thanks for looking everyone!
