Pretty & Polished September Beauty Box Review

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Today I have something new to me to share with you (and since it is new to me, I will share all of the details about it with you!) Pretty & Polished is offering a monthly Beauty Box that contains 2 full-sized polishes that are exclusive to the box, 1-2 mini polishes (usually they are samples of their currently offered colors), 1 offering from their bath and body line (either full-sized items or samples), and usually a few extras such as nail art or nail care items. In addition to this, you receive a coupon to use on your next order with Pretty & Polished (the amounts on these vary each month, so they are a surprise). I think that is all a pretty sweet deal for $22 shipped in the US (for international customers it is $30 shipped).

For September's Beauty Box, there are two full-sized exclusive polishes, 2 mini polishes (including 1 that is exclusive to the box), a Bubble Bar sample, a P&P emery board, a sampling of cute nail art appliques, and a coupon to use on your next purchase.

Here is a closer look at the non-polish items in the box. First you see some nail art items including a flower stud and some summery fimo slices (I got a frog, a ladybug, and a popsicle). These will all be fun to use in these last days of summer for cute accent nails! Next I got a sample of P&P's Watermelon Bubble Bar, which is essentially bubble bath in a solid form. I must say, I don't usually like watermelon scented things (because they often smell really fake and offensive), but this one had a fresh sweet smell that I really enjoyed, so big kudos to P&P for doing a great watermelon scent. I can't wait to use it in a bath! Lastly there was a handy nail file included that is the perfect size to keep in your purse for emergency situations.

Next we shall look at the polishes!

Hullabaloo is a thermal polish that changes from light blue (warm) to a darker blue (cool). It almost has a periwinkle feel to it in some lights. It has a crelly base with a rainbow of glitters in matte, metallic, and holo. On my hands, it stayed in the "warm" state most of the time, and that is likely because it is hot as hades in south Alabama this time of year. It would change back to the "warm" state pretty rapidly when I dunked my fingers in ice water, so excuse my wet fingers in the "cool" pics. Formula built up nicely and the glitters spread easily and evenly. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. This is such a fun polish and I adore it!

Pretty Little Thing has a white crelly base with an assortment of pastel matte glitters (aqua, pink, purple, grey, and blue). Formula built up nicely with great glitter distribution. I used 3 thin coats for this mani. I love this color combo so much! Something about it makes me think of seashells.

Sinner's Circle (2 coats over Zoya Kelly) is the first mini from the box and it is actually a box exclusive polish too! It has a sheer grey jelly base filled with gold, bronze, and violet iridescent flakes. I thought that this polish would look best layered, so I layered it over Zoya Kelly (a dark grey creme). The flakes really popped and had excellent depth over the dark base color. This polish is perfectly warm and cozy for the upcoming fall!

Isadora is part of Pretty and Polished's Basics line, but I thought it was anything but basic. It has a blurple base (it looks more blue in some lights and more purple in other lights) with a strong green duochrome shift. The green shift was sometimes hard to capture on camera, but it was definitely there in real life. Formula was good and was completely opaque in 3 thin coats (it really would have been ok with 2 if I had been being more careful). This reminds me a lot of an old discontinued (and highly sought after) OPI called Glacier Bay Blues. I think it is a great idea to include a sample from the core line of polishes in the box to try.

Full details about the Beauty Box are available on Pretty and Polished's website (purchase here). They go on sale on the 10th of each month (September's box went on sale on August 10) and are available until the 1st of the next month (or until they sell out, limited numbers are available). If you don't want to worry about them selling out, you can also sign up for a subscription to the box to guarantee that you will receive it before they are all gone (more details are on the website). I think it is a pretty great deal for all of the products that you receive in the box.

To check out other Pretty and Polished products, visit their website or these international locations. You can also follow them on Facebook , Instagram, and Twitter to see updates on new releases!

What do you think of this month's box? I think it has a good variety of colors and finishes that everyone would love. Thanks for looking everyone!
